"There is a song about this place Simply the best, better than all the rest . My husband and I go quite often with family and friends and we have never been disappointed. Today we were in St George 's Bar and were looked after by Eddie and Rob who were helpful, friendly and really welcoming. Eddie kindly gave us a map with the history of Stanbrook Abbey. The restaurant is excellent too for Sunday lunches or evening meals for fine dining. Stanbrook Abbey itself has a wonderful relaxing atmosphere and we agree with previous comments that it is as good as any 5 star Hotel. If the world is getting to you then get away from it all in Stanbrook Abbey it is as good as any tonic. Best wishes to all the staff whether reception or on the bar and thank you for making every visit special. Lyn Geoff from Malvern"

Lovely venue and buildings. Well staffed event. Vegan food most disappointing. Had a radioactive looking lump supposed to be a bread roll placed on the table (not even on a plate) still in the plastic wrapper straight from the microwave. Service: 5 Location: 4

Had lunch yesterday in the restaraunt ..30 pound set menu was appalling ...starters unappetising ..main course beef was flavoured with picallili ! Yorkshire pudding cold and 3 cold roast little potatoes .service non existent ! Had to call for more butter and normal bread instead of pumpkin bread ! Waitress not friendly at all ! Had to speak to manager who tried then to help ..we left immediately after main course ! Never again !! Service: 1

Sunday lunch at the Abbey was a great experience, the staff are very attentive and friendly all ways asked if there’s anything I can do for you. The food is of a very good standard, three courses, chicken, liver, pate, starter, beautiful loin of pork, with all the vegetables and Yorkshire pudding, for sweet peach crumble, beautiful. We all thought it was a very reasonable price for the meal. Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet

"BEST VEGAN RESTAURANT IN THE UK I visited based on previous reviews and the basis that they offered a tailored menu for my wife who has a Gluten allergy and an oil intolerance along with being a Vegan yep its a tough one. I called in advance and specified the dietary requirements for my wife and upon arriving at the restaurant were greeted by Amber who gave us a custom made menu from the chef which we didn’t expect. Awesome. My wife ordered the Buddha Bowl and I ordered the Lamb Souvlaki based on the recommendation from James who works at the bakery (we visited for coffee before the meal) and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The food arrived quickly and the serving was more than generous compared to any other Vegan restaurant I’ve been to and the choice of dishes is monster compared to other Vegan restaurants so there really is something for everyone. The only downside was that I couldn’t finish the sticky toffee pudding with custard and had to share with my wife!!! I never normally struggle with deserts! Overall, the staff (Amber and Alice) were super attentive and very knowledgeable about the food on the menu and the restaurant is by far the best for value for money and choice. We travelled over an hour to eat here and will be revisiting again to sample the rest of the menu. I was curious to read the negative reviews left here, but have put that down to stupid customers who probably aren’t Vegan and review fast food establishments like McDonalds shocking! Keep up the great work."
