"Admittedly, the external decor put us off this place for a few weeks and I hate to say it but it has a greasy cafe look about it from the outside. However, we had over heard a few people saying how lovely the food was so decided to give it a go and we weren’t disappointed. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and the prices are excellent. We really look forward to returning sometime soon. I honestly think a refurb of the exterior would be ground breaking in terms of passing trade."

This friendly, charming traditional cafe delivers excellent grub at excellent prices. Clearly a popular spot on a Wednesday lunchtime, and would wholeheartedly recommend and definitely return.

Not even a hello when you walk in from the waitresses. Prices are extraordinarily cheap for such big portions. External decor as some other reviewer mentioned in the past is lacking. Ambiance inside could be improved with music and warmer surroundings. The destroyer burger was okay.

It has been a few years since we last ate at the Star Cafe and nothing has changed. Lots of history to the premises so a step back in time and the food is still great value and amazing food. A full sized plate for a full breakfast and a lovely mug of tea. To be honest it don't get much better.

Easy to walk pass. Step inside to an old world cafe. Not that big inside. Large menu. Ordered double cheese burger and son had chicken, beef, bacon etc special burger. Had a big plate of chips with the meal. The food was substantial and tasty. Both clean plates at the end. £15 with 1 soft drink. Good value.

We came here when visiting Eccleshall for a quick lunch i'd seen on the website that they do the greek food so we were excited to find something different. It turns out that is only available for evening meals so i ordered a veggie burger but it came out missing 1/2 of the toppings had to wait a while to get the correct meal. friendly staff clean and tidy but let down by the meal.
