"One delightful surprise was the presence of hot chocolate bags in the room, which was perfect since we don't drink tea or coffee. Additionally, there were a few small packs of cookies, a lovely treat after our journey. The double bed was incredibly comfortable, allowing us to enjoy a restful night's sleep. At breakfast, we were seated right away and encouraged to explore the buffet. It offered a fantastic selection of muesli, juice, fresh fruit, toast with various jams, and yogurt with fruit compote, along with some delightful Danish pastries. Once we settled in, we were asked about our cooked breakfast, which arrived promptly after we finished our muesli. It was delicious, featuring high-quality sausage and generous portions on the plate. Tea and coffee were also available. Overall, our stay was very comfortable, with lovely rooms, great food, and friendly staff. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!"

Lovely food in the restaurant and room is lovely too. Staff are very good, not in your face and give plenty of time between courses, but not too long. Would definitely stay here again.

We all enjoyed a three-course meal, and I can confidently say that there has been a 100% improvement since our last visit. The staff was exceptionally attentive, meeting all our needs. The food was absolutely outstanding; we couldn't find any faults with the three-course meal. If this is the new standard, I can't imagine it will be long before the restaurant is filled with diners eager to enjoy an amazing experience.

I had a wonderful few days here with my granddaughter, who was experiencing her first hotel stay. She loved it so much that she didn't want to return the room key! Our room was conveniently located on the ground floor, making it easy to access. It was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were fantastic—very helpful throughout our stay. I did encounter a minor issue with my bill, but the manager addressed it immediately once he was informed, and he even called me personally to resolve it. I will definitely stay here again and hope we get the same room as I promised my granddaughter.

"A break in the weather so we walked up to the house admiring the setting. On arrival, the door to the tea shop had a table in the way see photograph. A waitress popped her head out the door and looked at me as if she wondered what we were doing there. 'Are you still serving....cake? ' says I. 'Yes, take a seat ' and she gestured to one of the courtyard tables. We took a table the only customers (or so we thought). The waitress came to take our order I was so looking forward to a slice of cake. Imagine my disappointment when the only offerings were shortbread, brownie or scones. So we plumped for a cream tea (no fruit scones available, only plain) and a brownie. Now it is a pretty courtyard...but not in the pouring rain. Being British, we sheltered under a parasol to enjoy our tea. Unfortunately, the scone was microwaved and they forgot the brownie, but served two cream teas?! When my jeans started to get wet, we decided not to hang around and so I went to settle up. On paying (at the doorway) I looked to the left and saw another couple sitting at a table INDOORS ...all warm and toasty, plus lots of empty tables. I asked the waitress why couldn 't we have been seated indoors. Her reply 'They were reserved '. Really? We had been there 15 minutes and no one had arrived or left. It was 3.15 on a wet and windy Friday afternoon. I really felt as if we had been an inconvenience."
