"from the arrival the charm of this traditional Norman building in the heart of the old wheelhouse operates .a the room, a little dark, we prefer the covered terrace in the background. here no chichis, tables are naked, paper towels, but reception and service are very friendly. The brouha of a friendly clientele is not embarrassing. the dishes, rustic (it's not a fault,) are well prepared and well presented: the classic hot/miel goat on a small slate, the sardine srillettes in a collector way box open to two thirds...The cod is excellent, the copious desserts! for about 25€ wine and coffee included, no doubt we will return."

a meal with friends (12 people) in the evening in the week. resto filled enough and so it had to wait. We weren't in a hurry, so all are fine. The foods are good without chichi. well located and friendly restaurant.

place that is worth the detour ... in the center of wheel. a tastefully furnished cellar that gives access to a pretty sheltered terrace. A simple, affordable map that is all harmonised by the sympathy of managers. Very good restaurant in love!!

We went twice so far. Dined and drank. The food is local Normandie food and it is of excellent quality. Wine is top. Variety of beers and alcoholic drinks. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. Sometimes there is a live band playing music. The place is run by a family; son and his parents.

a must-have visit if you're going to rouen. traditional galo-normando-bretona food. the owner of the tavern, very nice, sat with us at the end and enjoyed a very pleasant conversation. the dinner was of scandal and the ratio quality price unbeatable. decoration and light is also very remarkable, a place that is very touching, authentic.

My friend and I had a wonderful meal recently at Taverne St. Amant. We were looking for an authentic down-home place to eat and mix with the locals, and we found it here, tucked away down a side-street from the main hub-bub of the town. There are tables outside literally on the street, which is a very quiet sidestreet. There were two or three different fixed price menu options, and the food (and wine) was delicious. This is a family run place, and the service is excellent. We even had a chat with the friendly owner before the place got busy. If I'm ever in Rouen again, I would happily return!
