"Deserved win for The Brewery as pub of the week recently in the Gazette Herald. Always busy with locals and visitors for great food, my last sampling of Fiery fries was a meal in itself. Sarah and the staff have coped so well to keep this COVID secure in such a small venue with sheltered outside seating and careful table management. Delighted to hear that our favourite take- aways will operate during the dreaded lockdown. Can't wait to get back in hopefully in December."

We stopped here with friends for food and a drink while on a canal boat holiday. Well worth the stop. Great service too. I did have a brief snafu with my order, but once the I informed the staff it was rapidly sorted.

Good to see this proper local pub reopening and looking super smart and welcoming. Takeaways during lockdown have been wonderful but its good to be back. Don't throw your money at the look-alike pubs run by the big chains, support a proper local country pub for good ,beer, food and great company.Well done Sarah and the team.

Roast beef Sunday dinner, beautiful, well worth booking (a must for Friday, Saturday and Sunday) very helpful, and welcoming, could not have done more, (I have an allery), so could not eat the butterscotch treacle pud, (hubby did and says delish) Will be going back again, thank you, for a lovely roast and the welcoming friendly atmosphere. Having spent a week on the K&A we have got a bit tired of the same old/same old. We moored along the road from this pub and was made to feel so welcome from the minute we walked in. If we hadn't booked a table elsewhere I think we would have stayed all evening chatting to the locals. Very friendly and a really comfy small little Inn. Thanks for having us View menu

What can I say! We visited this pub on Sunday afternoon whilst staying nearby at the campsite and after finding the pub on the canal lacking atmosphere. The locals were friendly, welcoming and fun. We enjoyed a laugh, a singsong and felt like we had arrived as strangers and left as friends. Decent beers too. Can’t comment on the food but if you like a good honest friendly pub this is it.

Wow what a feast! Visited just before 3 on a Sunday and in time for a fabulous Sunday Roast Feast. More than 5 veg a day! Served by smiling happy staff, feast consisted of beef, pork, ample roast potatoes, 4 lots of veg on plate AND broccoli and cauliflower cheese. Spoilt for choice with home made desserts. Opted for home made bread and butter pudding which was Devine. Well worth the visit with no ‘pretentiousness’ like the pub down the road. Red wine delicious
