"Although they offered gluten-free bread, they mentioned that it sometimes comes toasted. I had concerns about potential cross-contamination with wheat-based food in the grill, but I ultimately agreed to the bread. When it arrived, it was indeed toasted. Due to my cautious nature, I have a habit of tapping and wiping my fingers on gluten-free toast to dislodge any potential contaminants from the grill or toaster. This may seem extreme, but it's just a precaution to protect myself from getting sick due to others' lack of knowledge or carelessness. Being a coeliac can be challenging, and I sometimes question if it's worth the risk for something as simple as a bowl of soup. However, it's nice to be able to partake in what others view as a normal dining experience. I wish I didn't have to worry about these things, but unfortunately, it's a reality for someone with my condition."

I note some poor reviews, but this is for us, the #1 stop for cake tea in Livingston centre far superior to M S.

We love Costa. Probably our first choice for coffee. Unfortunately the service in this particular Costa branch is the worst. Staff ignored the guest and very rude. Act like they don’t care in service. Busy with chit chatting.

We had time to kill and a quick coffee and #cone seemed a good idea. Now I like coffee that means black, hot, milk on the side and fresh and that’s exactly how they serve it here as good as I’ve had in Livingston. Scone# are a bit hit and miss no matter where they are served and the one# her3 tasted great but were so crumbly it was a trial to eat them. The people here are helpful and service quick so it’s on our list for future visits.

I went to this restaurant today at 2:45pm for coffee and a snack, and was extremely disappointed with the limited and poor selection. The scone was dry and hard, and the chicken kebab flatbread seemed to have been reheated in the microwave for too long, along with the meatball wrap. The side salad consisted of a whole tomato, a bit of lettuce, and what appeared to be a whole red onion. I will not be returning to this restaurant, as it does not even deserve one star.

We went Christmas Shopping today, and decided to give this café a try as we have never been in to visit before. We had a couple of Cappuccinos and Cranberry Scones which were quite reasonably priced. The scones were very tasty. A couple of things that I noticed were, There was a chap who was clearing the tables when the customers had finished their food. This was very helpful. Also is it policy for all the front of house staff to wear jeans, it just looked a bit odd.

I stopped by for lunch today and didn't see any salad options on the menu. It appeared to be mostly hot food and soup. There were two staff members behind the counter along with the chef, so I asked if they had any salad options available. The chef quickly offered to make me a boiled egg ham salad, which I happily agreed to. I paid for it at the till and not long after, the chef brought out a fresh and delicious salad with a side of mayo, a French roll, and butter. It was not pricey, as it was made to order off the menu. The service was reminiscent of the old days when the customer always came first. Well done to Debenhams for their friendly and helpful staff. Other cafes could learn a thing...
