"The scallops I had were the best I've ever tasted! This is a charming and cozy little restaurant. Their whiskey selection was impressive, and there were plenty of food options to choose from. The staff were fantastic as well. However, the standout for me was the scallop starter—OMG! I've never had scallops done so well! It's hard to find places that prepare them perfectly, but this one absolutely nailed it. Overall, the food was exceptional. We can’t wait to come back! This place is definitely worth a visit!"

Went twice. Both times we received excellent service and exceptional meals. There were 8 meals in total over the 2 days allowing us to see a variety of dishes. All were fantastic but of particular note was the pork skewers and the venison.

When I booked dinner last week it sounded as if they were so short of staff we might not get fed at all. However on the day we were welcomed, shown to a table and our order taken promptly. The food, wild venison arrived with a lovely bottle of red wine. An excellent meal. View menu

We were drawn away from our usual vegetarian choices by the fantastic selection of steaks and venison, and it was definitely worth it – everything was absolutely delicious! The profiteroles were exceptional as well! The service was excellent, even with the staff shortage. Just a heads up, make sure to make a reservation since they are currently limiting the number of diners.

Nine of us staying on the very swanky Mar estate just up the road. We had enjoyed friends cooking for us on a couple of nights, this booking a chance for them to enjoy a rest.For me scallops, then venison followed by lemon posset!In short very, very good indeed! This was top quality ingredients cooked and presented to a very high standard by attentive professional staff, young tall guy, you know who you are!Have plenty of confidence in booking a table here!
