"After booking a table at the restaurant (17/02/18) because the reviews were quite good it is always disappointing to be someone who didn't get a great experience. We arrived on time and were taken to our seats after a few minutes of waiting. Nice atmosphere a dozen people around us some with and some without food and a lovely view of the strand. Unfortunately the view was the best bit, by a long way. After waiting over 20 minutes to get a drinks order (I had to flag down a waiter) and then another 10 minutes to receive 2 glasses of prosseco, a pint and a large glass of wine we had our food order taken. With a waiting time of just over 30 minutes for a starter it was a long time to wait for a mediocre dish. The scallops were average, nothing special. They were meant to be seasoned with spice but tasted plain. The other starter we had, the pea and crab chowder was more a soup with tinned peas poured into it and a few pieces of crab meat occasionally appearing within. Not a great start considering other people around us had food that came quickly and looked and smelled great. Another wait for mains, not as long as for starters but still noticeable, where even the waitress came over and told us she would check on our food. The lamb rump tasted ok but had clearly been left under a heat lamp as it was just warm when it arrived. The salad that came with it was missing half of the things from the menu! The other dish we ordered, Quinoa and grilled portobello mushroom salad, was the saddest and most dissapointing looking dish if ever seen. It was literally a hand full of quinoa a few salad leaves and some cold slices of mushroom atop it. Again missing ingredients that it stated on the menu. After taking into consideration the wait and the poor quality in the food and long wait times we left paying only for the drinks and starters and more importantly hungry. Still after only drinks and a starter it came to roughly £47, less than impressive for value. Dissapointing!"

The food was exquisite, and the service was outstanding. The entire experience truly enriched our trip to London.

Great location and value. Often meet with friends after work for pre dinner drinks and one course dinner. Always good and great value.

Very enjoyable, friendly staff, nice atmosphere made it special for my mum by bringing her birthday cake when finding out we was celebrating her birthday.

Food was good. Service a bit slow. We were sat by the window overlooking the strand and whilst the view was great it was definitely a bit chilly sitting there.

A great little find which isn’t too busy and has tables which overlook the Strand. A staff are friendly and hospitable, but it wasn’t the quickest service. The food was good though and valuable.

This is a beautiful restaurant. I went for lunch with a friend and we were both very impressed with the decor and overall comfort. Service was excellent and I would like to mention our waitress Renata who was particularly attentive and professional. The food on the whole was good and was very good value. I will certainly return as the afternoon tea looked particularly inviting.

The food was well-prepared, but the tables were primarily arranged for afternoon tea, even during early Sunday lunchtime. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the service and the close proximity of the tables to each other. The staff did not provide much assistance, and we were overcharged, although this issue was addressed and the bill was corrected. However, we did not receive an apology, and the staff hardly engaged in conversation with us or any of the other guests.

A very pleasant surprise and a real gem in Covent Garden. I eat out 3 4 times each week and mostly around CG and so am always looking for somewhere new. I'd not seen The Clermont on Open Table before and gave it a try. The setting is superb and the food was good along with the service. I will go back again and may even make it a regular. The one issue I had was that once I had my main course I was forgotten and waited over an hour for someone to offer dessert or coffee, but it didn't happen and so I eventually got the bill and left. I did actually wonder if they served desserts as there was no mention on the menu. I am sure they had coffee and would have enjoyed that last hour a lot more wit...

We arrived at the restaurant with 90 minutes to spare before our show, choosing it for its convenient location near the West End. Unfortunately, it took over 30 minutes just to order a drink; we ended up opting for a glass of wine, worried about how long it might take to arrive. I ordered the risotto, which turned out quite watery, leaving a puddle at the bottom of the dish. My friend had the king prawn and pancetta salad with avocado salsa. This dish consisted mainly of arugula topped with bacon-wrapped prawns (which were actually quite tasty) and what seemed to be mashed avocado. I expected a bit more variety in the salad. Despite our complaints, we finished our meals. I noticed many other...
