"Great place for a special occasion or just a very nice meal; really good ambience, with a buzz; great room; excellent and plentiful staff; very good food; extensive and well organised wine list albeit more on the pricey side. Overall it was an excellent place for the occasion we were celebrating, but we'd happily come back if we were in the mood for a fancy evening with a very good meal in great surroundings, with excellent staff, etc. As a bonus there is piano bar in the ante room to the restaurant and another really good, jazz themed cocktail bar along the lobby of the hotel which houses the Colony Grill."

A wonderful evening we were celebrating the recent marriage of two of my friends, one a former New Yorker, and everything from the service to the food could not have been better.

The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The service was attentive, and there was a good selection of wines with expert advice. However, the steak, which was supposed to be the highlight of the meal, lacked flavor, as did the chips. The meat didn't taste grilled, and overall, everything was quite expensive.
