"We were the first table seated and the service was very prompt with catering to our needs. We had the octopus and scallops as a starter. About 5 minutes later food was out. The scallops out of the two dishes were the winner. Great depth of flavour great balance of salt to sweet to sour and the nduja added that hint of spice. The octopus was also good. Nice cook on the Octo and we'll balance I just felt it needed a bit more depth to hit the palate correctly. On to the mains but before that can someone please turn off the alarm from the staircase right beside us please, it's so Annoying. Wild boar Ragu for me and lobster for the Mrs. Again I chose the winning dish. The lobster dish was semi drowning in a water puddle of flavourful broth. We both wished they would of rendered/reduce, thicken that broth to make remove it from its homogeneous state. The Ragu the best of the two dishes wasn't wowsers but, still good. I would of loved a bit more acidity and a layer of fat left behind on my tongue. It was simple and nice which makes it a great dish. Tell you what doesn't make it a great dish when the staff is laying down the law to what seemed to be a new staff memember who decided to wear his own vest coat to work when he shouldn't have. We were the only ones in the restaurant so we were the only ones who witnessed it but, not the right time or place for it. After they sent him to the corner for timeout the staff brought out a nice mango dessert to excuse for the Loud beeping which had still been running loud throughout the whole service. Overall a decent meal you pay for the premium of the location. Would I come again, yes but with a game plan and an extra vest coat"

"First time dining here after many years. We dined before a theatre event so it was early evening. There were not many tables taken. About 4 by the time we left. So it was fairly quiet but once inside we both felt very relaxed and calm. Very helpful staff without being overbearing. The interiors were lovely and the food outstanding. Hope to dine again soon"

"I must say that my experience at lunch today was incredibly disappointing. I had been looking for a suitable place to enjoy a quiet lunch with my Grandmother before visiting an exhibition at the British Museum. Starting on a positive note, the staff were excellent at providing a pre-lunch Gin Tonic in the hotel before we moved into the dinning room. Unfortunately after that things started to go down hill. The dinning room was deserted for lunch on a Saturday. As it later became apparent, this was intentional. Two groups of walk-ins were turned away and told that the restaurant was “fully booked” despite it only having only two people in it. This is a restaurant that clearly doesn’t want your business. On the food quality, I had ordered the fishcake starter which was to be served with a poached egg. The poached egg had been boiled to an inch of its life. The yolk was rock hard and going grey. I am not certain how such an error could occur in a restaurant that only had two diners. Further my Tuna from the Grill menu was barely cooked at all. Despite these issue the bill also proved challenging. Firstly, I had to remind them that our drinks had not been added to the bill. Secondly, despite the issues they had still had the nerve to add a 12.5% gratuity to the bill. At no point when we were leaving did they attempt to apologise. For those reading to the end of this review, do not visit this “non-restaurant”, they clearly do not value their customers."

"Who knew there was an outdoor ski lodge just behind the British Museum?? The Montague had done a fantastic job of recreating a covered bar and informal dining area in their patio area and it was great fun! The menu set up was different to what was described on TT there was no set price anything which made it more expensive than expected but also more flexible as two of our group ended up not drinking. The two choices of fondue were delicious and the tasting platter looked amazing. Service was really friendlyalthough there were times when the bar was unattended so we had to wait for more drinks etc but that was minor as the staff had really got into the spirit and made it a really great experience. I'll definitely be returning next year"

"The Colony Grill Room is the main restaurant of the 73-room Beaumont Hotel, the first such venture from experienced restaurateurs Corbin King (of The Delaunay, The Wolseley, Fischers, Zedel and Colbert). "Your waiter Joseph welcomed us on arrival and offered a choice of tables, either inside or outside. As it was a summer evening we chose to sit outside which was sheltered under a canopy. The service was professional throughout as enjoyed an excellent meal and wine. I recommend a visit and internd to return next time we are in that part of London."

"This used to be a wonderful place to take a rest while visiting Sloane Square, London, however what used to be great customer service, has now all but evaporated no more happy smiles from staff, very slow poor service and a resulting depressed atmosphere. It is sad to see how far this once great place has fallen. I also found out that they DO NOT let you pay your bill with cash considering the deliberate discrimination towards cash users, the complete lack of service from the staff, and the ever high prices I DO NOT recommend anyone use this establishment, especially as there are far better coffees to be had in other local food shop and cafes. I won't be returning to here anytime soon."

"The restaurant was not busy, but it took ages to get anyone’s attention and to get served. One of the customers who was sitting next to us made this point to one of the waiters. “We are not a fast food place”, was the waiter’s answer. Is that really acceptable to talk to customers like that? A lady waitress who served us was very pleasant and helpful, the food was good, but even all that combined could not improve the overall impression that The Botanist are doing a favour to their customers by bothering to serve them."

"The cafe is beautiful and the staff were lovely but the food was bland. I ordered a tabbouleh salad which was supposed to have walnuts in it but they were missing. Tabbouleh is supposed to have strong mint and lemon flavours but all I could taste was mild parsley. There was no dressing on the salad but bottles of olive oil and balsamic were put on the table. The salad should have been dressed by the chef and left to marinate for a while. The halloumi was nicely cooked though."

"On the whole a very nice lunch. The staff were lovely, and the ambience very pleasant. I had the spinach and pistachio gnocchi and my friend had the chicken and asparagus risotto both were extremely tasty. We also had a small glass of pinot grigio each, which was equally good. The restaurant was pleasingly quiet and airy. Any downsides? Though the food is very good, it's reasonably pricey I also thought the sour cherry yoghurt/ice cream was a tiny bit bland. Nevertheless, the lovely staff and the tasty main course would encourage me to visit again."

"we came to the breakfast. the place was almost empty, yet the waiter wanted to sit right next to the stairs (below to the loos where it was so rugged, they could not move their chair at all. but he was all smiling when we asked for another. the eier benedicts looked very good and was well cooked the problem was that eating was almost cold when it arrived. I fear that the avocado came out of the refrigerator and that the bisquits had been turned back. a shame. "I cannot recommend Smaka enough, I was there several times (for dinner and for brunch on Saturday) and the food and service are always brilliant. You have won t get a burger there, Swedish cuisine it is (I think), but if you love your food and you don't mind trying different and tasty dishes, then you must give it a try. I love my pancakes and can now say that I tried American, French and Swedish and would have second (third) help from all. The restaurant is on a quiet street and the decor is a bit boring (looks more like a pret a manger unfortunately as a place with unforgettable cooking), but it has great food and wine and it is excellent value for money."

When ordering one of my guest asked to have the chicken breast without sweetcorn and after the waiter came back saying the chef explained the sweetcorn is the main ingredient in the menu as it's cooked ways and not having sweetcorn would alter the original taste of the recipes, my guest asked if something else could be added instead. When the food was delivered the staff didn't ensure we had everything we needed, salt and pepper were missing and a check back wasn't given throughout the dinner. The chips were dry and far overcooked, the RibEye was uneatable, the duck breast was tough, chewy and overcooked, the haddock dish was oversalted. Everything was a complete disappointment and not worthy all that money!"

"this place looks amazing and very welcoming from the outside. we put our order for food and two of us came first. I tried a chip and it was hardly warm. the manager (I suppose she was the manager as very intelligent dressed and the...Rest of the staff had uniform, but she has an outstanding suit) had delivered the food and I asked for vinegar. she said she would bring it. the third plate of the food came and I said to the waiter and my horned check their chips are hot as our both are cold. he didn't recognize it at all, so we wore eating. no vinegar was bought, we were completely forgotten. if that is the service that the manager offers, then it is a care. No one came through our food to even check on us so that we have eaten cold chips without edgy, so it did not like. when they came to collect the plates, O said I was not happy, but nothing happened. I refused to pay the service fee because we had no service at all. pity as beautiful place, but not good enough service and cold chips."

"I’ve been to many Caffe Concertos but this was my first visit. I had read a few bad reviews on service but as my previous experience in different branches had been good, I decided to give them a chance. So so disappointed... cakes we’re henetally good although we did have a small fly on a berry tarts. When reported, the waiter took it away and gave us a different tart. I did expect a manager to come and apologise but nothing! I suppose the manager was struggling with his staff as the service was slow. I asked for the bill five times before it arrived and then had to ask a water again five times to bring their card machine. The bad service is letting them down as the ambience is good and cakes look lovely. I suppose with such a good location they’re not bothered about customers not returning for a second visit. Again a huge shame as it might put off customers from other branches too!!"

"Waitresses are really nice, every table has a small bell that you can use to call a waiter. Food is delicious, nicely thought, vegetables in salads are fresh. Maybe it's just because of the covid situation, but they clean the table as soon as the group that sat there leaves. I've read some reviews here and I've seen that people think portions aren't big enough, especially if you take price into account. I do think the salad was expensive, size was fine, but it was a bit expensive. Chicken was completely fine, size was great and price was ok. I'll definitely eat here again, this is a very good place. Good salad, even if it's a bit expensive, is better than a bad salad."

"Ordered a whole cake, had confirmation that the order was ready to pick up, store supervisor seems clueless what to do when he didn’t have the cake. Supervisor and staff are not trained, no manager around. Instead of full cake we got slices of cake, and only half the cake but in slices as the supervisor is not able to do maths. (Again not trained) Had to go back and complain, in the end a very stressful and unpleasant experience when you pay premium prices"
