"My family and I met for a celebrity dinner and were not disappointed. The food is excellent and the menu varies, but not too extensive. We all said it was hard to choose from such an interesting and varied menu. The staff is friendly and helpful and the new outdoor seat offers a view of the adjacent fields. It is not heated, but we were offered blankets and were very cozy. Excellent value for money and carefully recommended."

Food at The Compasses great as usual with an interesting and well balanced menu. Marquee service works well and staff working very hard to get it right. Cannot wait to get back inside the lovely pub though

The compasses is an inappropriate pub. The location is idyllic, and the staff is super friendly and attentive. In addition, the food is consistently brilliant with a varied, circulating menu that is always delicious (technical term). My only hesitation to share praise is that it is too busy, and I cannot book a table.

We had such a nice evening at The Compassses in Chicksgrove. Service could not have been quick, efficient and polite. We shared appetizers of humble and deep fried chili-squid, and then all had the steak and chips perfectly cooked rare, absolutely tasty, hot and so tasty with a beautiful bottle of melowrot wine I was in heaven and the best way to go for the first time in a long time!
