"This hotel is run to the ground beds are all well worn and dirty full of stains I wish I took pictures I feel sick just thinking about it carpets are all ripped and worn bathroom the same the whole place needs a revamp with new furnishings the restaurant has nothing to do with the hotel it was beautiful thank god as it made our 1 night stay more capable it's definitely a 5 star restaurant shame on the hotel it's a big let down people have said in reviews they were refurbishing last year as building work was going on the work was definitely not in the hotel it needs closed down and gutted top to bottom booking .com and other booking places need to take it off the market there is definitely no heath and safety in this building do not waist your money here also pets are aloud omg I wouldn't be taking min in there will never return... Rooms: Need gutted and refurbished"

"We had an impromptu Saturday lunch with friends at this lovely old village pub. The risotto was delicious and plentiful, and our dog Charlie enjoyed a plain chicken breast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the plates were chipped, the table cloths had food remnants, and the women's toilet was a bit dirty. Despite this, the dessert was a big treat. I would come back again and try something different next time, hoping for better attention to cleaning and upkeep."

"Oh dear...you know when your instincts say Turn around and walk out . This seemingly popular local pub was run by teenagers on the day who don 't appear to have tbasic knowledge on how a restaurant should be run. It took several minutes before we were acknowledge or even noticed as customers, 4 of us standing obediently in front of two bar staff focusing on a till issue. The rest played out as you 'd expect as we noticed a sign that said 'no service here '. We giggled in a hungry kind of way."

"booked here for my mum and sister as my partner is local to the area and had told us lovely things (so had his family) We arrived on Monday, the place was empty, pub not open and noone around. My partner went inside to find someone to get a key to pay for the two nights. After we paid and got chatting to the lady behind the bar, she said the live and let live was too much for them and they were trying to sell it. When we got into the room, it was obvious that the place hadn 't recieved a clean the whole lockdown, which you would imagine would have been done? Cobwebs on appliances, fridge was turned on by the gentleman who arrived 5 mins after we got the key, with a TV (no remote). the electric was turned off to the room and half the lights didn 't work. The doors, wardrobe and window had been primered but not painted, the towel stand in the bathroom was so rusty, it was unstable, there was soap marks (from previous lodgers) up the walls in the bathroom, the complimentary soaps, shampoo etc were already opened and half used. No curtains up in the room, but curtian pole was there, full of cobwebs and coat hangers. Also dead flies rolled up in the blinds. Light switches were brown. My mother and sister went out to buy anti-bacterial wipes to clean (as when they went to find someone, the place was empty, not a person in sight, also noone answering the phone in the pub) Lamp shades had stains on them and the bed sheets had mould spots on them and the bathroom ceiling was mouldy too. There was other peoples items in the bedside tables everything was covered in a good thick layer of dust! We paid for bed and breakfast on the understanding that the guests would get a choice of either a continental breakfast or a full English, its a good job we ere visiting family or they would have starved in their room! Not a soul to be seen the whole 2 night and 3 days they stayed. We have rung the company who we have booked with and the live and let live have refused to speak to us, acknowledge our issues or issue a refund. This is obviously not acceptable and I hope for the pubs sake that someone manages to buy this and turn it back into the beautiful place that my partner his family remember! The place has great potential its a shame to see it get such a bad reputation! £170 is alot to pay for a dirty room. Do not be fooled by the pictures on the booking sights! They are from 2012 when the previous owners had the pub!!"

"We have been using this indian takeaway since my parents moved here in 1993. The owner was always friendly and used to give me twilight mints as a child. We have been very loyal to this takeaway for 25 years... me and my boyfriend just ordered uber eats, my chicken Tika masala was horrid absolutely loaded with coconut it was more of a coconut curry. Very dark red too I thought it might be creamier. The onion bajji s were doughey in the middle so I left them, the keema rice weren't up to scratch either no idea what's happened the majority of our takeaway is now in the fridge so my parents maybe will eat it tomorrow. Its pretty sad, only ordered the time because the last few times my lamb passander has been chewy so I went for a chicken dish.to be honest I'm hoping next time our order will be OK because otherwise we are going to have to find a new place. regards Edwards"
