"I understand times are difficult right now, but that is not an excuse to be cheap. Last week, my husband, son, and I stopped by this restaurant for a quick lunch. We were in the area to look at a house during lunch time and couldn't wait until we got home to eat. We planned on getting a basic meal so we ordered two sandwiches for myself and my husband, and a kid's pizza for my son. The pizza was fine, although a bit pricey. It was oven-baked and tasted okay. However, when the sandwiches arrived, we were disappointed. The menu sounded great and the fresh ingredients looked appetizing. My husband ordered a ham and gorgonzola sandwich and I ordered a herby sausage and caramelized onion sandwich. What we expected versus what was served was completely different. We imagined gourmet sausages with onions on thick slices of bread, but we received half a crumbled sausage on two small slices of dry sourdough with barely any onions. We were so hungry after finishing our unsatisfying sandwiches that we ended up eating our son's leftover pizza crusts. My suggestion is to charge a bit more but take pride in the dishes you serve to customers. It's better to have a happy and loyal customer base who will return for more."

Great to return. Has not been back here since Covid had a delicious pizza feast. Such an excellent quirky venue with pizza every bit as good, if not better, than those that I have had in Italy

The best pizza in the world (and I got to Italy a lot! super venue, the gluten free options are excellent and the bar superb. The owners only use sustainable products and the service is superb.

We popped in after golf at the last minute and had a great evening. Lovely wood fired pizzas, great service and as a bonus we had entertainment in the form of a magician/mind reader which was highly entertaining and made for a great evening that we had not expected. Would definitely visit again when in the area

We called in here for a lunch before heading home. We were against the clock due to car parking restrictions. The staff did their utmost to serve us as quickly as they could and we were delighted to enjoy a sandwich lunch and a drink. Food was good and the lunch was served with a smile. We will return, thank you.

Pizzas were good but in the less is more range A little on the pricey side if the pizzas had a little more toppings I think the prices would be correct Staff were very friendly and attentive Toilets could do with some tlc. Popped in here on a Sunday afternoon for an ice-cream. Service was mixed, the 1st girl was great, friendly and attentive. (Red head with glasses) The second girl was unbelievablly rude, virtually throwing the ice creams at us ! Set up was a bit random, but had a nice atmosphere. Ice cream was nice but expensive, I asked for 2 scoops and got 1.....

I have always enjoyed getting takeaway pizza and gelato from The Drill Hall, but I decided to dine in for the first time. The food was delicious as always, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was fantastic. The staff was very attentive, welcoming, and friendly. A pleasant surprise was the presence of Ashley Green, who amazed us with some incredible magic and mind reading. It was a brilliant addition that made the evening even more special.
