"Stopped for 1 night for a nearby event. It was a nice, fairly quiet site, although you could hear the traffic from the nearby M20, but it was not intrusive. I pitched a tent for the night. The ground is level and virtually stone free. The facilities are a bit dated. Hence, I waited to get home for a shower. Food at the pub was a bit gourmet for me. The only thing on the menu for me was the Ham, egg, and chips, which was fantastic and an ample portion. All the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. A lovely place to stay and would recommend."

The food here is consistently incredible. While it may be a bit pricier than average, it's definitely worth every cent. The restaurant tends to be bustling on weekends, but the bar staff are excellent.

We were served a delicious mid week lunch at the Drum. The host was friendly and welcoming. Our group were served promptly and everyone loved their choices from a varied menu. The specials were particularly good thank you

Lovely little English pub, the food was well presented and tasty with a good selection available. The service was very good, the bartender being polite and friendly. Had to grab my own salt and pepper but otherwise couldn't have asked for anymore more.

The menu was fantastic, and the food was exquisite. The salmon appetizer was exceptional, and I thoroughly enjoyed the sea bass for the main course. The chocolate steamed sponge pudding was simply the best. The service was excellent as well. Hats off to the brilliant chef! View menu

Very cheerful friendly staff and the food is excellent. The seafood linguine includes plenty of mussels and king prawns in a rich, tasty sauce. Leave room for at least two scoops of ice-cream for dessert though! Beer (Bonkers Conkers) was well kept and served at the right temperature, too.

£25 to park our motorhome on gravel for the night The toilets were clean but very rustic. We had a meal, 2 x baguettes and 2 glasses of wine, which was nearly £40. The young waitress was very pleasant and that's about it. For us, the best part was the location, as it was only 5 mins to the Euro Tunnel. Wouldn't stay again.

What an absolute credit Henry and Emma are to this pub. After a grueling 10-mile hike, they really looked after us, from greeting us and showing us to our camping pitch, to bringing beers and a delicious meal to us quickly and cheerfully. It's quite rare to come across great service like that, so they deserve every bit of recognition! Great experience! View menu

If you're in search of a peaceful, traditional country pub while traveling to or from the Eurotunnel, look no further. Located just a mile from the M20, this delightful old building captures the charm of classic pubs from the '70s. The interior retains a traditional feel, and the staff are friendly, making for a welcoming atmosphere. Plus, the food is excellent.

our friends had been and told us the food was good. However we were very disappointed. The food lacked presentation and in general was at the best mediocre. The cod and chips was all right but not cheap . My wife and friends food were very similar food not good . Staff did their best.Portions were large. My wife had tagliatelle with chicken in batter whilst quite tasty the presentation was very poor. Will not be rushing back

"Our excitement to see this café open allowed us an opportunity for some needed refreshment . Oh a cup of tea and a slice of cake or a little available small snack was what we needed . We were told by an employee sit down we come to you , so we did .. Another staff member standing behind the counter looked over and frumpy look called the cook who had the same frumpy look and went back to cooking , We : waited , waited , waited , waited and saw the frumpy counter woman still in the same spot , we waited and waited then left , maybe she was glued to the floor . We looked left and saw a pub named the Pheasant, oh drink and food , renewed enthusiasm and excitement we entered to staff who couldn 't do enough, so professional and warrants praise and a revisit , after a while we left and waited outside for our taxi , looking over we saw the cafe closed , ahhhhh it all came together and understanding that we was an inconvenience to the café as they was closing in half an hour after our visit , How long would it have taken to make a cup of tea for two? , us drink it , then how long would it have taken them to wash up the cups ? , they still would have twenty minutes for the woman to be unglued, our first impressions were of a cafe with many seats and a welcoming atmosphere, the woman employee sitting at the front table working was professional and welcoming the tables were clean and we kept our excitement as we waited , our excitement and enthusiasm faded, we left happily for the woman glued to the floor , we are appreciating the effort of the lady at the table who was seriously let down by the others , thank you for your efforts , apart from her professional customer service skills our Eureka moment to see the café open wasn 't to last , sorry to the staff member at the table I 'm very sure the service we had wouldn 't have been what you would have given , this review seems strong in tone but it 's our experience in here that day.. . I am not now able to show enthusiasm for another visit , I would have loved having that day and opportunity to empty my wallet a little and a little bit more on what would have been another visit , sorry no Eureka moment taken away that day."
