"Disappointing, especially for the price. We arrived for a booking on time only to be told after chasing staff that our table wasn't ready. After standing around for approximately 20mins, we had to follow up with the staff again only to be told it would be another minute. We weren't the only ones waiting around, there were quite a few others. Some of the staff appeared dismissive but others were polite and apologetic. The food was average but the setting was nice."

"For the price you pay, this place is extremely noisy. It was difficult to have a conversation since the tables are packed too closely together. When I'm spending so much on a meal, I expect a better atmosphere. The service was lacking as well; the staff appeared either overwhelmed or indifferent. I had to actually call the gentleman back just to order my sides after he walked away immediately following my main order. On a positive note, the quality of the food was good, so hats off to the chef!"

"Bottomless Brunch. Beware! Something is always amiss when they don 't show you pics of all that is supposedly 'bottomless '. Aside from your main, drinks are bottomless, and the only other food are salads and 1 type of bread. There 's no pastas, rice, or oysters as you see in the pics. Don 't be fooled. Service was amazing, but it was our first and last time there. We will go stick with the Oxbo Restaurant brunch, which includes SO much food AND desserts for the same price!!!"

"Revisited old firm favourite after COVID enforced break. Atmosphere and decor still great but service completely off. Welcome very mediocre. Food service shockingly slow. Arrived at ordered promptly, anti-pasta served after mins wait. Mains didn't turn up until after (having had to...chase twice). One of my guests had to leave promptly at (not unreasonable for a lunch) which led to a rushed finish. Worst of all, the waiter filled our wine glasses to the brim, finished the bottle and then immediately asked if we wanted another. Crass in the extreme. I might expect that at Spoons, but not Daphne's. To top it all off, my mushroom risotto (normally a reliable stalwart) was quite bland. Come on Daphne's, you need to do better."

"the location is great and the hotel is very nice. we arrived early to leave our bags and was told our room was ready. we have booked a grand covent garden room with balcony view, came to the room and I was shocked, it was tiny and at all no prospect. not the room we had booked. but the workers were amazing and when we came back, they had brought us into the right room. not in sight, but gave us free cocktails. the bar staff was great and very attentive. we did not eat there, but were recommended some nice places for dinner and baptism. I was amazed at how quiet the hotel was in the middle of london. it was a mother-daughter of weeks and in a perfect location. the bathroom was a good size and nice single beds. the hotel offers not many facilities, but is a friendly, small boutique hotel. I could not have been happy with the first room, but it was sorted and more."

"A large crowd of us went to the Vintry for drinks last night. It was really busy so had a great atmosphere! They had some staff doing drink service outside. We wanted to thank Claudio and Betty for doing such a great job. They worked really hard and we never waited long for our drinks. They were both so friendly and even though they were rushing around they were super happy to help!"

"We’ve been coming to Lewennick for many years. It’s a special place for us somewhere we stayed after our wedding. We’ve waited 3 years to visit again after covid and were really looking forward to it, it just didn’t feel as welcoming as it used to. We booked well in advance and requested a window table, this hadn’t been arranged. The person serving us (potentially the manger) seemed quite off, not very warm and chatty left us feeling a little disappointed. After travelling all the way from London, we were sad that this was our first negative experience there in over 10 years. The food was lovely and you’ll never be able to fault those stunning views. Hoping for a warmer welcome next visit!"

"The restaurant is lovely, but our experience was disappointing. There were 6 of us and the food was not good. The lamb kebabs and lamb chops were tough and unpleasant to eat. The service was also poor, with the waiter only attending to us when called. After paying a high price for poorly cooked food, we decided to never eat at hotels again. We had much better meals at other local restaurants such as Sawil and Marie Venna."

"We arrived at the restaurant in time for our 6.45 pm slot to be told that our table was not ready and would we mind waiting in the bar. We were provided with drinks and a menu which was acceptable. Twenty minutes later we were taken to our table which in fairness had lovely views over the bay. After 10 minutes (and now 30 minutes from arrival) we still had not been approached by any staff to either provide more menus or take our order. Eventually we had to ask a member of staff to take our order. Starters arrived in a timely manner and my soup was very tasty. We then had to wait a long time for our main course which in my case consisted of sweet potato fries that were frozen fries that had been over cooked and a vegetable burger that was at best average. One member of the group had fish and chips and another steak which were both ok. One of the senior staff took 3 of our plates then got distracted did something else and left one plate on the table. We did not have desert as no one came to ask if we would like them and we asked to pay the bill and left. Overall some of the food choices were acceptable but the service spoilt the meal and you could see other people in the restaurant feeling the same as our party."

While waiting for our food they gave us a cup of soup, bread and breadsticks; we made a bit of mess with the crumbs but the waiters came and cleared it with this metal crumb remover fancy). Starter: TAGLIOLINI WITH SLOW COOKED TOMATO FROM GRANANO AND SHEEP RICOTTA Main: TONNARELLI WITH VEAL RAGOUT This didnt look the best but tasted fantastic Desert: TIRAMISU no complaints at all, you have to try this!!!! I would definitely go here again this is the best service I have received so far! I was definitely full when I left. They try to make sure the food is as fresh as possible. They had a display of all the vegetables and fish; the colours were amazing. The restaurant is beautiful inside there are trees in big plant pots, sky lights and candle chandeliers. Getting the set lunch menu meant it was really quiet when we went I believe it gets quite busy in the evenings. Also Drake was dining in the private dining room next to us! "It was our first time eating at Giovanni’s yesterday after recently moving to Knutsford. And what a treat it was. The waiter could not have been any better and went out of his way to ensure we had a lovely meal. He even bought over a little juice and ice cream for our 2 year old and also a dessert treat for my husband as it was his Birthday. The service was outstanding and the food was just delicious. "Terrible: Very poor value for money, food was mediocre (some dishes were over salted, some were bland), wine was way overpriced and not very good. There were 5 adults and one child in our party, none of the meals or drinks were interesting or special. Food took a long time, the kids meal arrived 1.5hrs+ after we sat down, we had to ask two times for it since our 4yr old was getting hungry. In the end, it was a plate of sausage and mash and I could have cooked something more interesting and tasty myself, in a fraction of the time. Worst of all was the service. The waiters were pushy, arrogant and not very effective. They spilled the wine down the side of the glass every time they poured it (my wine glass was also dirty when I sat down). They pushed extras and sides, felt like we were getting ripped off all the time. Food took a long time. Over and above this, they were very rude to us and we left feeling that they were trying to create a special restaurant but failing badly at it because the food wasn't very special, the service was terrible and the price was way too high. Very disappointed, would advise you to go elsewhere."

"Just next door to the Gielgud Theatre terrific ambience, decor very stylish, like being in a swish club with the central square bar, some banquette seating and good lighting (love the lamps on the bar Food very good, as it was quite late after the theatre I chose a salad with chicken, avocado, crispy panchetta and egg. It was fresh, very tasty and huge ! Sadly could not eat it all there was so much. Husband said his Salad Lyonnaise was delicious. Great value for money. Waitresses excellent. We will return."

"Came for Saturday lunch to try out as we had been to the Dukes head down the road. We tried sitting outside but the seats were so low and not very comfortable so went inside to eat instead. "twee grandios. Love Love Love Love The Decor This Place! its very cozy and cozy and quiet and very land-fied. the menu is very diverse. in person I would recompense the churros, which is this sweet, fried donut stick that they dip in chocolate sauce. would love it if the chocolate sauce was thicker and not a liquid Runny slope. a real thick milk chocolate sauce would go so well with it and help to cut through a few of the fat of churros. the beverage selection must be more diverse. the personal is beautiful, chatting and funny."

"Cozy space, friendly servers and nice service, but food was terrible. My fiance and I shared a barbecue chicken pizza and a calzone — the calzone was okay but rather unremarkable (especially for the price), but the pizza was just awful: far too salty, barely any trace of proper barbecue, and without any exaggeration at all the chicken bits tasted of fish instead of actual chicken. Did not want to cause any fuss so I didn 't bother speaking to a manager after being offered the option after giving feedback — this is the first and last time I 'll be dining here."

"The outdoor terrace seating at this restaurant is nice and elegant, but I don't plan on returning. I found the restaurant host to be very rude as they initially refused to seat us outside or inside the restaurant despite it being only 10% occupied. After some arguing, they finally gave us a table outside with a very unpleasant attitude. The waiter, on the other hand, was friendly and helpful. The appetizers we ordered (Tomato soup, carpaccio, and salad) were all good. However, the main dishes (Risotto, tomato pasta, and lobster linguine) were served cold and would have been better if they were warm. We chose not to complain because we just wanted to finish our meal and leave. Overall, this experience left us feeling disappointed and unsure of the reason for the poor service, but it came off as snobbish and rude."
