"The service was a little relaxed. I felt they took too long and we're not as atentstive considering it was empty. Once we made our order they advised us that they had run out of chicken breast, which meant we had to order another main from their new year set menu, which shows they were ill prepared for their new year set menu. After the initial struggle to order and change one of our meals the food arrived quickly and hot, which was great. It's a shame as it's a nice place and the food is good it was let down by their relaxed staff at the beginning."

One of the best pizza in town. Quite expensive though.

We were 15 minutes late. On arrival they denied we had a booking and said the kitchen was shut. Luckily Prezzo down the road were much more helpful and we had a lovely meal there.

Our group of four booked an informal lunch. Surprisingly the restaurant was quiet. The food choices were interesting, as were the choice of drinks. The sharing starters were excellent. View menu

Having experienced poor service and indifferent food quality at other branches of Zizzi recently it was a joy to visit this branch. We felt the staff were genuinely interested, enjoyed their work and the food was well presented and freshly prepared.

Eat at Zizzi last Saturday evening and had a pleasant meal. All the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous and the food was pretty good, unfortunately the size of the restaurant coupled with it being full meant it was almost impossible to chat over the table due to the background noise and that sadly spoiled our evening.

We had a very good experience at this restaurant. We dined at Zizzi in Cardiff after the rugby on Saturday night. It was pretty busy but the atmosphere was great a real buzz going. The food was lovely I had one of the special salads with goats cheese which was generous, the pizza was good too most impressive was the staff who were brilliant really helpful polite and efficient. Good food, excellent service, great atmosphere. Heineken Cup weekend so there was a great buzz. Despite being very busy the service was very good and professional. There were some delays between courses but that did not bother us as the meal was well paced and we expected this given the weekend that was in it. The only thing that let the meal down was the coffee at the end which was truly awful.

We booked a table for 8.30 pm following a show; we arrived 20 mins early, but this did not cause a problem and we were seated immediately. The service was faultless, we were not kept waiting at all, although the restaurant was buzzing with several large parties. Food was well cooked and very tasty the Pollo and Funghi Risotto was exceptional! The staff were very pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, although they were very busy. Would recommend this restaurant and will certainly visit again.

"It was the most bizarre experience dining here. First when we arrived in the restaurant, our group set up was that there was someone on each end who was sitting facing an empty chair on the other side of the table. Upon enquiry we understood it was a covid measure, however never had any other restaurants requesting such seating arrangements in the past 20 months. We ordered two split pots, a non-spicy broth for one side of the pot and a spicy broth for the other side. The staff came to confirm that we wanted spicy/non-spicy in each pot. Yes, we said. To our shock when the pots came, one pot was spicy/spicy on both side, and the other was non-spicy/non-spicy on both sides. This was after the staff had came by to confirm that we wanted a spicy/non-spicy set-up, and in the usual situation a person wanting a spicy broth would not have asked for a split pot. We raised this to the staff and were clearly unhappy about it, though did not insist on having the broths changed around. What happened next made it the most awkward and uncomfortable dining experience ever. From where we were sitting, we could hear the owner reprimanding the staff for the error, throughout our meal. We understand mistakes occur and if the owner was unhappy about the mistake and genuinely wanted to apologise, taking the initiative to change the broth to the right setup, or a complimentary drink or dish would have gone a long way. But no, he chose to reprimand the staff within our hearing for the whole dinner (which didn't help the situation one bit and made the experience worse! . We felt sorry for the staff. Even with the hospitality shortage, that was a completely wrong way to help the staff improve, nor help retain them in the long run. I don't remember anything about the food, although photos did show a good range to choose from. At the end of the meal we each received a box of hello panda, which might have helped, if not for the fact they were expired. All in all, would not recommend."
