"Had a great meal here, parked on the street outside, very, very friendly and great service. My wife has a lot of food intolerances and the staff made completely sure she could order a suitable meal and were very understanding and polite. The food came quickly, and the portions were a great size, no chance of leaving hungry. The food was very tasty, the “homemade” lasagne was full of flavour and I’m confident was homemade, forget the factory made servings in the well known chains, this was full of meat, tomato and cheese and all the food was piping hot. Other than my favourite Italian restaurant and mother in law, this was definitely the next best lasagne I’ve had the pleasure to eat, as I said to my wife, you can tell the quality of an establishment by the quality of the lasagne."

Visited Builth Wells and went into The Fountain Inn for food/drink. THE Best Breakfast I Have Ever Had and certainly the Best Value Menu I found in the area.

This is a regular stop for breakfast on the way to Cardiff. Service is always quick and food is good value for money. Bonus if you manage to park outside as well.

Called in for a drink whist staying in Builth, found the bar staff to be friendly and a few of the locals. Decided to try another bar but wasn’t as friendly so went back to the Fountain and stayed there. View menu

Lovely warm welcome. Dog friendly. Called in for a light lunch. Good choice on menu. Appears they do a Sunday Carvery as well but we only wanted a snack. Quick service. All staff very polite and friendly and we felt very welcome.

Amazing place to visit, excellent service by all staff, the waitress was pleasant and couldn’t do enough to offer excellent customer service. The curry was amazing and excellent value for money, will be back again to try more items from the menu

Picked this place randomly as we were hungry after an outdoors day. Turned out to be a locals pub. Very welcoming staff and local people. Made us smile. Thanks to all. Food just the job. Really appreciated the friendliness of everyone. 14th century pub. View menu

Came for some dinner when we were passing through with our family. When I came into the pub bit I was initially wary (just because it was a bar and we had kids) but the menu was good and we decided to give it a go. We were seated in a separate room away from the bar. Food was very good, service was fast and friendly and it was good value for money. We all enjoyed it.

Average food, saw mice running out of the kitchen and the ginger teenager proceed to tell me they were pets . I believe I caught Typhoids from the food in this place, they said the pet rat Dave contaminated my bacon and eggs. The ginger man then proceeded to lick ketchup from my plate after taking it for Washing up . Apart from these odd events, I quite enjoyed my time in the fountain inn and would recommend it anyone looking to find angry ginger dwarfs roaming the place.
