"I am a local resident in the area and had never noticed this café before. While I was waiting for my medication at the neighboring pharmacy, I decided to grab a drink and a pastry. I ordered a fizzy Elderflower drink and a pastry, which surprisingly costed just under £10! Despite the high price, I paid for it and went to the back of the café, which seemed to be a back room. Unfortunately, the café's decor was not appealing at all. They went for a mismatched look, but it was clear that they had not invested much in the decor, making it unappealing. Additionally, there was a strong smell of old greasy food in the air. I sat down at a table, sipped my drink, which was okay, and started on the pastry. It was disappointing and definitely not worth the price. It seemed like they bought the pastry cheaply and charged a high markup. The menu prices were also shockingly high. I compared it to a farm shop called Eggs to Apples a few miles away, which has higher prices but offers good food, excellent service, and well-decorated dining area. The Greedy Goat café charging similar prices didn't make sense to me. I left the café feeling ripped off and carrying the remainder of my Elderflower drink, leaving the pastry behind. I am disappointed with the quality of the food and feel like I could have cooked better at home. I strongly recommend avoiding this place as it just seems like a typical greasy spoon."

Being local we’ve been to the Greedy Goat a fair few times, and we love it. Friendly accommodating staff, good food and sensible prices. What’s not to love?

I had the pleasure of popping in for English Breakfast and a caramel latte when meeting a work colleague and can't fault it. Lovely light and airy setting, friendly staff and great food and drink, would thoroughly recommend a visit

Absolutely fantastic as usual. The unique atmosphere of this cafe never disappoints. The food is outstanding, the staff is incredibly welcoming, and the decor is fascinating. The coffee, cakes, and breakfast options are all delicious. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection. Can't wait to come back again soon.

I have dined at this restaurant multiple times and each experience has been fantastic. I've also just stopped in for a coffee and it was delightful. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and the coffee is great. The restaurant has a cozy, family-friendly vibe and they offer a variety of delicious cakes as well.

Right of the bat it's a lovely, quirky place with beautifully hand-painted tables and adorable resident dogs, but the cooking is really quite exceptional. The menu is full of classic lunchy, brunchy stuff, but it's never been this good. -Huge portions, made by a chef with an unerring instinct for flavour, and for succulent, comforting textures and combinations. The people are lovely too. (And Ticehurst is a very nice, pretty village too. Honestly, this place is a gem.

We were in the area and fancied a drink. Had our usual look on trip advisor and set the sat nav. Luckily we got a spot literally outside the cafe; A traditional tea room in a lovely village Our dogs were welcomed and we had panini’s and drinks. Helpings were plentiful and food was good. A very relaxed atmosphere with the cafe owned by a mother and daughter team. It was nice to stay and have a chat with them and fuss their lovely dog also. Nice place, nice food, nice owners and Dire Straits playing in the background. Parking tight outside but I think there is a car park fairly close

Several years after driving past this cafe, my husband finally remembered he wanted to bring me here for a brekkie. So this Sunday morning, here we are. Initial thoughts on walking in was....its a wee bit small and could be a smidge noisy (for me). BUT.....hold the line! There is also a cosy room at the rear filled with glorious sun rays this particular morning. This room is delightful with art on the walls that you can purchase. And beautifully painted dining tables in different moods. Little eccentricities like cat face coasters, a chubby chooken, and terrarium, to name a few. The ladies looking after us are 'naturally friendly ' and professional. The menu is scrumptious, and it was a litt...

I came here because trip advisor filtered it for cheap and vegan options. It also sounded like a community hub. I tried to see the menu online but all I could see was a photo of something non too clear. When I saw it in the flesh so to speak there were no vegan meals but one vegan alternative for a vegetarian one...so I was disappointed. However as said by others here, you can kinda make your own meal...which is what I did with the smashed avocado on toast replacing the halloumi with sweet potato. It was wonderful....had a finesse about it, the toast was hearty, and there was a kinda balsamic dressing. I had an oat milk latte too. It came to £11. They did have non dairy milks. I liked the co...
