"Over priced and the chef is nowhere near talented enough to pull off the menu he advertises. I personally hate the fixed price for three courses and for the first three days we didn't visit because we couldn't find three courses we would choose. Eventually we succumbed but wish we hadn't. The starters are not a choice but instead a tapas so you are stuck with all four rather than able to choose the one you like. For us the lemon sole was a million miles too greasy in the Beurre noisette sauce. Even the veg was greasy. Finally, the dessert pastry could not be cut with a pneumatic drill.. the plate would succumb first. Poor value for half the price so definitely worth a miss. Go anywhere else.. even Mc Donald's..."

This place is in a hotel. Great views from your table. Food is lovely and all home made even the bread. I recommend it very much.

Wow. I've never had a set menu before, I've always been a little scared that I may not like everything. However, everything was incredibly tasty even the things I wouldn't normally try. Yes, it was a little pricey but the quality of the food and service was outstanding. We'll be back! Vegetarian options: An amazing vegan set menu! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner View menu

Admittedly it looks rather tired on the exterior but a really lovely place with a beautiful position overlooking the sea. The reception staff were exceptional and we were so looking forward to our gift (a cream tea) Sadly that's where the positives end, the sandwiches were stale, the scones hard and dry as were many of the cakes. We were given a small pot of tea on arrival but no one came to ask if we would like another drink or ask how the food was. We were a fair size party and were really looking forward to our treat but I have to say, i was left very disappointed. Sadly I will not be returning for a second visit.

First of all, the hotel is a bit remote from the usual tourism. But that doesn't detract from the ambience... Great effort is made to suggest a noble impression. First of all, the guest has to descend quite a bit of stairs into the interior of the building and first pass 2 polite restaurant managers in order to finally get to the reserved table. You get a great uninterrupted view of Cornwall. Apart from the starter, the menu wasn't that big. The composition of the main course was rather unusual. It was also unusual that the starter was larger than the main course. Also that we could no longer get our selected dessert, but a new menu card was presented. Sure, we felt good, but I wasn't really...
