"What a pity this pub/restaurant has changed hands, they appear to have firgotten what makes for an enjoyable dining experience good food and efficient service. The good was OK but lacking flair and flavour and, in this case the ability to cook risotto. The service was terrible. 30 minute before getting our starters (and that needed promoting) and another 45 for the mains (again prompted). Good job it wasn’t busy, they expect the table back within a 2 hour window. Would we return, definitely not, far too many places that do value their customers. What a pity, this was a good place to visit."

here a few times the food is usually big, but had the roast for the first time and the meat was quite fat and the menu was smaller then normal!

we have booked a 50th birthday meal for 16 people. everyone had a great time and eating was good. the personal was very helpful, from booking to end. we were allowed to bring ballons and our own cake.

beautiful pub, great seating outside, pets friendly, sitting outside. for Sunday dinner. apart from the choice of roast the rest of the menu poor. So if they don't like sunday roasting, go other days of the week. not great worth for money, eating was very average for what they pay. for us it is more practical pub how we can walk there and everyone can have a drink.

unfortunately the service was slow. a table next to us had waited two hours (no joking) for her net and if asked if she desserts willing to say without need, after waiting for her net, she lost it. the food service must be much more cohesive a server to a table section a responsibility staff must be properly trained no one should look around or on his handy all waiting staff should clean, serve or clean; there is never anything to do in and effective restaurant

Booked a table for 2 didn't get seating till 2:20 couldn't have the stars I'm just because it was getting too late and we had to leave disappointed as it was my sister in laws birthday and I was going to do something with a candle but I didn't get to do it but never mind overall the service was good bit slow you had to keep calling them if you needed anything dinner was absolutely lovely can't thought that I think some of it is a bit over priced specially for a roast dinner but I do recommend a food

We booked the Horse Groom for a friends birthday, but quite honestly i wished i had gone elsewhere. It was like a staff canteen rather than a restaurant, the noise there you could hardly hear yourself. The menu wasn't what I expected, nothing special the usual burgers, steak chips. Plus why is it that all vegetables now seem to be barely cooked, just because it's fashionable, I hate it! The price was quite reasonable but I don't think we will be returning. Very poor, I have been to much better pub restaurants with a better menu.
