"Really disappointed by the food. I ordered a fish finger sandwich on granary bread (I asked specifically for granary bread as my friends BLT was on granary and looked nice (also her BLT was missing the bacon). The fish finger sandwich was also with rocket (per menu). What I received was a small piece of battered greasy fish (skin on) on cheap, thin brown bread with lettuce. The fish had 2 bones in it and in parts was just batter and skin. An absolute waste of money and disappointed I didn't just return for my money back, but I was too hungry. The skin on chips were the nicest thing and the only reason for 2 stars and not 1. A nice pub but don't go for the food."

Food was nice and well presented. It was expensive as pub food goes.

Wonderful food. Wonderful staff. Venue spotlessly clean. A warm welcome and staff couldn't do enough to make our visit lovely.

Lovely garden and live music. Food was decent, good options. Only downside was despite 4-5x staff working at it I waited at the bar for over 5mins with no other patrons in front or beside me and none acknowledged me waiting before I was then asked if I needed anything. View menu

What a lovely spring evening, great venue with warm ambience. All the staff were extremely helpful in particular, Emily, who served our table. We were a large party of 20 or so and all our meals were served concurrently and every attention to detail was observed. Food was good, skin on fries were very good. Would definitely return one day, well worth a visit and highly recommended for relaxed, al fresco, gastro pub, dining experience

Unhelpful, unfriendly service. Food put in front of with no explanation of where one gets cutlery etc. Horrible vegan pizza with clumps of orange indescribable cheese. Plates removed from our table an hour after we’d stopped eating and no reference made to our hardly touched plates. Spent the 3 hours we were there feeling like we were in the way of them closing. The 2 stars for the service are for the young barman who tried to be helpful.

"I booked originally for 6pm and had to change to 6:30pm due to traffic. I hadn’t confirmed The new booking so the host could not find a booking for us. It was my father’s birthday and I was really worried I had messed it up. The host, was fine and was still able to get us seated, we were very pleased with that. We were given a choice of tables, and as a larger guest, I was able to be seated comfortably. We’re we’re served by Tom. S ,for the evening. OMG! What a charming and delightful waiter. He was attentive, had great banter and held a wonderful conversation, wished my father a happy birthday, and tended to my wine being filled up all evening. He made us feel wonderful, and made me feel like a million dollars. The food was absolutely superb, French onion soup was perfectly seasoned, the croutons were Devine along with a salty cheese. Loaded with sweet onions: The liver parfait my husband had was delicious he said. My dad and husband had the beef bourguignon, and I had the chicken, gratin with a side of dauphinois potatoes… Again… absolutely perfect. The service here was top notch, and Tom.S made our first experience at Côte the best. He is a first class waiter, that I would compare to the the likes of The Ritz and The Savoy. Fantastic personality, and very well groomed and presented. What a fabulous and marvellous team member you have there. Cherish that! We will definitely return, and recommend this restaurant highly. 5 Service from Tom.S and the chef."
