"Today I visited Esquires in Dartford where I ordered a cooked breakfast and a hot drink, I asked for certain items to be cooked in a certain way. The venue was fairly busy as it was inclement weather and market day. After I ordered the polite staff members on duty requested me to take a seat and they would bring my order to me. I didn't have to wait long and my order was delivered to my table just as I had ordered and was hot, tasty and presentable. I found the price competitive if not slightly cheaper than other local cafe's/deli's. After I had finished the crockery and cutlery was removed and I was asked if I required a further drink as I was working on my laptop. A further drink was brought to me. I found the staff extremely professional and the food 10/10 This is about the 6/7th time I have visited and always found it a welcoming, clean and warm place to eat and catch up on my laptop. I will definitely visit again"

Great Eggs Benedict and lovely tea and cake. I had Key Lime Pie, which was delicious. Comfortable seating and friendly staff.

Ordered 2 bacon rolls 2 coffees, coffee is OK but bacon roll had 1 rasher of bacon. At £3 I think this is a rip off. Prices used to be reasonable but same old story. Greedy for money

“Soup of the day” was a can of Heinz tomato soup. For £5. Bread? £2.50 extra. So I went for a cheese and ham toastie. Plastic cheese and wafer thin ham on thin sliced bread. Luke warm coffee. Poor quality and over-priced. View menu

Lovely place to sit down for a coffee in Dartford. I 'll often go with my laptop to get a bit of work done. Have the 'turkish eggs ' (menemen) for breakfast. Its great. Would be even better if there were one or two more specialities on the menu.

Popped in on the off chance as had walked past many times and was really happy and have returned several times since. Really good value for money, great food and drinks and a nice atmosphere. Large coffee is the size of a swimming pool!! Give it a go, its a little haven.

Visited 28/5/22 for a tea and ham sandwich, I was charged £8.80, steep, but I thought surely it will come with small amount of crisps/side salad, crusty bread? No, sliced bead with one slice of processed ham. Wont be going there again, other places in town much better value and service with a smile. View menu

There was nowhere to sit in Costa so googled an alternative coffee shop and seeing the decor thought I’d give it a go. I wish I hadn’t bothered. Coffee was bitter not in a good way. The pastry on my Berry slice stale, left the whole thing. My friend had the cooked breakfast. Sausages were only good item. Came with mushrooms and tomatoes. Half a portabello mushroom (yes half served!!!! and a whole tomato was like it had just been put on the plate straight out the fridge wasn’t even grilled. Lesson learnt. If costa too busy just go home instead and save the money.

Weekday lunchtime visit. Dirty tables, unhelpful and unfriendly staff. One dish had poached eggs that were solid. Other dish had a hash brown that was still frozen. After complaining, the hash brown was scraped off the plate, and a replacement dumped on a side plate a few minutes later. Most of the food on both plates was left as it was so bad but the staff didn’t even bother to ask why the food was left. A new Starbucks is due to open and local Facebook groups are moaning saying that we should support local independent cafes (Esquire’s was even mentioned) after this car crash of a visit I’d be surprised if they have any customers left once Starbucks opens.

"I booked originally for 6pm and had to change to 6:30pm due to traffic. I hadn’t confirmed The new booking so the host could not find a booking for us. It was my father’s birthday and I was really worried I had messed it up. The host, was fine and was still able to get us seated, we were very pleased with that. We were given a choice of tables, and as a larger guest, I was able to be seated comfortably. We’re we’re served by Tom. S ,for the evening. OMG! What a charming and delightful waiter. He was attentive, had great banter and held a wonderful conversation, wished my father a happy birthday, and tended to my wine being filled up all evening. He made us feel wonderful, and made me feel like a million dollars. The food was absolutely superb, French onion soup was perfectly seasoned, the croutons were Devine along with a salty cheese. Loaded with sweet onions: The liver parfait my husband had was delicious he said. My dad and husband had the beef bourguignon, and I had the chicken, gratin with a side of dauphinois potatoes… Again… absolutely perfect. The service here was top notch, and Tom.S made our first experience at Côte the best. He is a first class waiter, that I would compare to the the likes of The Ritz and The Savoy. Fantastic personality, and very well groomed and presented. What a fabulous and marvellous team member you have there. Cherish that! We will definitely return, and recommend this restaurant highly. 5 Service from Tom.S and the chef."
