"Food was amazing and worth every penny! service was great until they had a shift change and we were left unattended as we had eaten by then, we had to chase for the bill and when asked it wasn't met with any words just a grunt. the original lady serving was great, she was lovely and chatty and was super. they had a good selection of drinks however this was a Saturday evening and they has run out of all sparkling wine that was served by the glass. One change i would make is to have more wine options by the glass rather than having to purchase a whole bottle. i was the only one of my party which was drinking wine and wouldn't have wanted a whole bottle to myself. overall great experience and food was amazing just a shame about the last part of our service and the lack of drink available considering it was a Saturday evening"

"Had lunch here yesterday. What a gem. Please book, always busy by the looks of it we were in Chester for the day. Staff where very friendly the interior is quirky and lovely. Had the vegetarian breakfast was delicious, was also great that tea is served in a pot with china cups and you get more than one cup out of the pot. Had a delicious dessert too and an espresso Martini with a shot of hazelnut. Delicious the best I have had. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Chester to eat here was lovely. Will definitely be returning again."

"Service was slow, however very polite, food seemed processed and turkey looked like sliced from the butcher so thin, meat was not a slice of steak was mushed excess pieces moulded together into a round mould and cold. also Cranachan was just mush like thick yoghurt with porridge oats through it? That was a major shock and in a soup bowl? Def need to check the recipe on this, one chipolata too. All food was just warm nothing special. Christmas menu yet no crackers? No one asked if we enjoyed our meal even when the dessert wasn’t eaten"

"The decoration was great... That's pretty much that. The food was a tasteless mixture in between cement and disgust. The nachos were horrible, the cheese wasn't even melted at all. After 2 minutes on the table the cheese started to cut up and to form small balls of cheese. When we told the waitress she said that she will pass the message to the kitchen, and that's it. The Mac n cheese had crumps of something very funny looking on top, as long as I remember it wasn't mention on the menu, and to be honest, a pinch of salt would have save it, maybe. The burgers were floating, like literally floating in oil, and the bacon was falling in pieces on the plate. The worst part was that the Yates in front of us was full of people while this place was fully empty, we could have spent our 28 pounds there instead."

"This restaurant review is unbelievable! I waited a whole day to write this because the pizza was just too good to be true. I wanted to see if I would have any negative reactions, but I didn't. "Unfortunately the Sunday menu has shrunk yet again only choice of beef or pork now if wanting a roast lunch, Food arrived in a timely manner but lukewarm. Terrible issue with flies not enjoyable having to keep swatting them away from Food and drinks. Service charge added to bill ...why , it should be customers choice to tip, not to be made to feel uncomfortable if you don't Want to. Tipping used to be because it was poorly paid, minimum wage changed that, I did ask if the servers got the tip and they do and the server said they work hard so deserve it, ummm they are being paid to work hard. Seems to have had a big change of staff, unfortunately put of going again."

"Our waiter, Maloj, was attentive, polite, thoughtful, and friendly. He made sure to accommodate all allergy requirements, even bringing out the meal for the allergenic guest first and double-checking that everything was correct. The food was outstanding, cooked exactly as requested. The timing was perfect, with a nearly seamless transition between finishing our starters and starting our main courses. Overall, the service was smooth. The only downside was the restroom facilities; while they were clean, they did need some maintenance."

"I haven't been to Whiteley in a while and I must say, it's even better than I remember. My mother and I were greeted warmly and given a choice of seating. Once we were seated, we were promptly offered a selection of drinks and handed our menus. The service was exceptional and the staff was very friendly. The decor was lovely and created a peaceful atmosphere throughout the restaurant. The menu had a variety of options at affordable prices, although some dishes were slightly more expensive, possibly due to the location. Our food arrived hot and well-presented in a timely manner. My mother and I agreed that we would definitely return to this Harvester in the future."

"We had late lunch on Monday : did not book the table. Not crowded. Staff are generally friendly but bit slow service. I think less staff are working on weekdays. Salad bar some are fresh some are not fresh. And looks like the chicken portions small than before. Still good tasty toilet was clean and lots of space for car parking you need to enter your car reg at front till. Lunch set also available but we ordered separated main and drink each. Total we paid around £40 !! I think it’s still good price !!"

"brilliant eating, fresh and well cooked we had a good mix of eating and everything was delicious! very clean and tidy and beautiful decor. the staff is very helpful and good for all including the families, it is very much the small things. the baby changing area had a place to sit for the children, so mamas and fathers can use the facilities without worrying where the children sit, very clever and soo helpful! my young one didn't seem to bother! beer garden was big and clean and simply beautiful. could spend a lot of time here. good choice of the beer on the hahn also! would absolutely recommend it and will definitely go again if in the opposite!"

"We have dined at Harvester several times before, including this location in Amesbury. Unfortunately, this visit may have been our last. The food quality was poor, and the service was slow. It no longer felt like good value for money. The Mac n cheese lacked sauce and was just overcooked pasta with melted cheese on top. The kids' chicken strips were small, chewy, and dry, with the smallest piece being only 1cm long. My wife's steak was burnt on the outside and tough on the inside. My brie and tomato tart was soggy and undercooked. The drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive at our table, even though they were sitting on the bar for 10 minutes. On our way back, we opted for Pizza Hut instead, which was a completely different experience. Fast service, delicious Mac n cheese, and perfectly cooked pizza. I would recommend going to Pizza Hut over Harvester in Amesbury."

"Took my mum for breakfast before a Saturday grocery shop. Breakfast was tasty, hot and our waitress, Freda, was wonderful, attentive and professional. Mum had the vegetarian and I had the unlimited. Good variety including the avocado which was a nice, healthy touch. Hash browns were crispy and well drained and our eggs were well done on request. First time having a Harvester breakfast will certainly come back again and mum enjoyed it, so I couldn't ask for more than that."

"Not been here for a while and visited Sunday lunchtime, we had not booked and the restaurant was already busy so not sure if we would get a table but we were very quickly ushered to a table by a very friendly front of house receptionist, our order was then taken by a very nice girl called Briony who then got our drinks and helped us to pick the salad which they have to plate for you, the meal came pretty quickly and all of us enjoyed our meal and were so full we could not even look at the desert menu lol , we will most certainly return again in the near future"

"We went for a baby shower and a 3 course lunch. It was absolutely glorious. Food was excellent as we had the vegetarian option,which was superb.The room was light and airey. "My husband ordered a pot of tea but only received a cup. When we questioned this, we were informed that a pot was only available with the unlimited tea option. Interestingly, I noticed that I had been charged for unlimited tea, so I'm not sure why we didn’t receive it. After placing our food order, we waited around 40 minutes for our breakfast, only for it to arrive incorrect. We had both ordered fried eggs, but instead received poached eggs. When I brought this up with the waitress, she talked over me, and while she offered to bring us a replacement, I was reluctant to accept since we were already very hungry and didn’t want to wait even longer. Overall, the food was bland and quite unappetizing. Additionally, the option for self-service continental breakfast was no longer available, which used to be a welcome choice while waiting for hot food. In summary, both the food and customer service were disappointing, and I wouldn’t be inclined to return or recommend this place to others."
