"This is a fantastic pub with a wide variety of beers and snacks. The atmosphere in the evening is intimate and lovely. The staff and customers are very friendly. There are three rooms, including quiet areas, with nice decor. There is a small bookshop in the back and a library of cookbooks that you can browse. They also sell delicious chocolate. There is a small terrace in the front. This is definitely one of the nicest and most relaxing pubs in Hanover."

Popped in here on a miserable wet Saturday lunchtime. Lovely surroundings, good food and nice staff. Cracking range of beers but alas I was driving. Food was nice and well presented

Twelve of us went to this restaurant for Christmas lunch and it was almost empty. The food was delicious, hot, and there was plenty of it. The menu had a good variety, including options for vegetarians and vegans.

In Hanover where I live we are lucky with the amount of good pubs we have and this is one of them, came for an early dinner. To start with I had the sweet potato fritters very tasty , then main I had the smoked haddock fish cake, cooked perfectly. Great service also. View menu

We visited here for the Sunday roast, which was excellent. The meat (beef and lamb), Yorkshire pudding, vegetables, all of it was exceptional. It was a large portion size at a reasonable price. Service was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be visiting again!

Me and my girlfriend visited this pub on 13th of October for a Sunday roast. We had been to several other venues beforehand but couldn’t find a place with seating. The manager of the pub was very accommodating and found us seats quickly and provide us with excellent customer service and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food. We will definitely be going again, very highly recommend!

There are lots of fine pubs in Hanover and this is possibly the best. There's an amazing selection of great beers, the food is delicious and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. We booked The Independent for a reception and their help with organising it was invaluable, the buffet was superb and everything went off perfectly. I really can't find anything to fault it, highly recommended! View menu

We weren’t eating on this occasion. However I ordered olives with our drinks. I wish I hadn’t as they were tinned, tasteless and watery. Drinks were exceedingly expensive as well. On the plus side the pub has a nice ambience and the man behind the bar was very pleasant. However £16.50 for a beer, a glass of wine and tasteless olives sent us home early. Pity as our previous experience there was a good one

This pub is a hidden gem in a town with tough competition. The focus is on food, which is top-notch and worth the visit alone. The beer selection is always tasty, diverse, and constantly changing, with a great selection of cans and bottles as well. The bar staff are friendly, talkative, and helpful. The atmosphere is great and the location is charming. Take a stroll from the town center to check it out, you won't be disappointed.
