We only went for drinks but the place looked really nice inside and the staff were friendly . Plenty of outside seating reasonably priced.

The best pub in Skipton. Great ales; great atmosphere; great staff; great clientele. A pub that you don't want to leave. Highly recommended.

The food was fantastic, with every plate being left clean. A great bonus was that the restaurant is dog friendly. We had to change our reservation time and it was no issue at all. We absolutely loved our experience and will definitely be coming back again. View menu

Went with work colleagues . Booked a table of 11... which wasn't quite big enough, so we had to add another table and chair. This was the only real drawback as the food came promptly and was delicious. The place was really busy however the staff were very attentive. A good experience all round, thank you

Today, my wife and I visited this restaurant after hearing that it had been acquired by Kirkstall Brewery last August. We discovered a charming little pub with welcoming and attentive staff. The beer and lager were of high quality. The establishment has been nicely renovated and has a warm and inviting atmosphere. They also serve food and we are considering trying something from the menu in the future.

Be Aware Very Rude Poorly Trained Staff However good the range of ales are in this pub and the food however superb, our visit was entirely ruined by an outburst from a bar tender who was frankly extremely rude and aggressive. Her manner was abrupt from the start and then relapsed into rudeness and aggression. I really don't expect this from such a centrally placed popular pub and eatery. I was frankly shocked. View menu

Superb hospitality, Shannon and team deserve high praise. Chef special of sea bream, as well as Salmon fettuccine was worthy of a Michelin star restaurant. My Chicken and bacon pie was huge and worthy of feeding a King! Great surroundings, choice of vegetarian meals to high standard, should be a bistro not just a gastro pub. Wide choice of hand pulled and craft beers, fine wines and family friendly. Been many times. Deserves supporting and promoting. Paul Davies frtca CiM Historian.

My wife and I both ordered a haddock sandwich and chips at the restaurant. The haddock was served between two large slices of bread that were not buttered and were much larger than the fish. The bread had been grilled, producing black lines and a burnt taste. My wife had previously ordered a fettucine dish with chicken at the same restaurant and found that the chicken had also been charred on the grill. I recommend that the restaurant invest in cleaning their grill regularly to avoid this issue. I have attempted to contact the owners, Market Town Taverns, but have been unsuccessful in reaching them through their website.
