"Awful experience. Worst ever. Ordered starters, was half way through when the mains arrived. Sent them back, they appeared again, sent them back then a manager came out to inform us that we had the choice of leaving them to go cold on the table or in the kitchen and that we would not be getting anything to replace it. Apparently the mains are prepared the moment the starters are served without anyone checking the starters are finished!!! We left and my friend is still waiting for the reimbursement of the mains. I actually wrote a report years ago regarding food safety which involved contacting scientists, etc. to get the rundown on hygiene with regard to re heating food, etc. I ordered a chicken pie when heating up pies you are advised to make sure the food is piping hot, and it should not be reheated. They offered to reheat it in a microwave. I have had food poisoning 7 times so am very cautious with how food is prepared, etc. I shall be contacting the Food Standards Agency regarding this."

The food was absolutely beautiful. The staff were lovely as always. My mother in law had the sea bass, she said it was the best she has had before. Will definitely return soon.

Nice place, with great views. The food was good for the price paid, was well seasoned, the staff gave the standard condiments; mint, horseradish and apple sauce. The vegetarian loved the mac and cheese and the garlic bread. The staff were friendly and attentive. View menu

We were in Bridgend and fancied a Sunday dinner. This did not disappoint. Food was great, service was great, if it was closer to home we'd come again. Nice and relaxed atmosphere and proper home cooked food. Very well presented. Few pints of San Miguel didn't hurt either.

We came on Monday night for a lovely meal as a large group. Great food and service with a bustling atmosphere. Would definitely return to try some other dishes, we had people of all ages and everyone had a great evening. Staff were super friendly and we had a great chat at the end of the night.

I booked for 6 plus are for a pram. It was a great table with plenty of room for us. There were a few things that weren't available to eat due to supply issues but we all had our choice available. Food was lovely and they were really good with my 2 year old granddaughter. Will definitely go back again. View menu

Stopped off here for a quick lunch before our drive home back down South. Friendly welcome and quickly seated and drinks order taken. Good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks on menu. We had starters and mains from the normal menu, although they also have a good lunch deal menu. Everything came out quickly and was all delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area and looking for nice food in a cosy pub. Also have nice outdoor seating area but was sadly tipping down with rain when we visited!!

Lovely little place however my Wife asked for no Hot Honey Sauce on the burger and it came with both hot honey sauce and a burger sauce that wasn’t listed in the menu, so it had to be sent back. I sat there with my food, and she had to wait a further 15 minutes or so before her new burger came out which was so dry, she could barely eat it, and the fries had clearly just been put back in the fryer so they too were overdone and dry. My mixed grill was overcooked, and the steak was a chunk of fatty, grissly meat. Whilst the staff were quite quick in seating and serving us, the bar staff were young, and fooling around. The young lad actually threw a bottle cap at one of the other staff there, bu...

"So came here last night 13th oct. 9 of us 2 of which 2 young kids. Had starter , calamari this was ok, sauce was nice. Main was lovely which was lasagne really quite tasty it came with chips which were nothing special if im honest, i ordered a side of garlic bread with it which was nice, The host was a nice guy very chatty, the staff seemed a little clumsy if im honest, just as we sat down a tray of drinks went down the back of my sister because the waitress wasn't looking what she was doing although accidents do happen so no biggy, although I will say nothing was offered! No extra drinks, a free starter, nothing!!! This brings me on to the cost. Not much beer choice at all, consisting of draught peroni which was are you sitting down) £6.50 a pint! So I ordered a bottle of bishops finger which i thought was a 500ml bottle, it didn't say on the menu the size of the drink which i think it should have, Well the bottle came and it was a 330ml bottle!! £4.70 for a 330ml bottle!!! im sorry but thats to much, come on guys. We all had a starter and a main with dessert each, i had the newyork cheesecake, which was ok but tasted abit like something frozen, didn't seem home made to me anyway. The Total bill came to just over £400!!! £60 of which was a service charge i was told by someone on the table, but the owner has now said that there was no service charge so if this is the case then i apologise), we were a decent size group but you know when you've gone somewhere and feel that the cost is just too much. Nice restaurant but too expensive imo."
