"The Pub looks small from the front but goes back a long way. I read what others have written but did not experience anything near other reviewers concerns. We called in for a drink during the Christmas week and was firstly surprised how large it is, and secondly, how original the internal features are given the pubs age. It hasn't been altered over the years and was nice to sit by a log fire looking around the bar in it's original untouched state. The old photos on the back wall are quite interesting, these perfectly depict the town from a bygone age. I would call in again as I found it friendly and welcoming, they also served the drinks we asked for on that particular evening."

This pub is OK, good selection of games, quite cosy and food is alright... Just don't ask them to deviate from the menu... Computer says no!

This restaurant is delightful and welcoming. The staff are friendly, and the pub food is of excellent quality, particularly the delicious veggie option. I am excited to return on my next visit to Rottingdean.

We always have a great time at the Queen Vic. Last night we went to celebrate our friend's birthday and brought our doggy along...there was a new bartender who was fantastic..never skipped a beat despite all my akward questions about vegan drinks, Canadian gins and dog chews... love this place!!

Have been waiting for this lovely boozer to reopen since covid. At last it is, and wow I loved it...! Fantastic covid security in place, but still the character of the bar remains. Its really quirky with safety screens made to look like large mirrors. I felt like Alice in wonderland. Garden is beautiful. Barstaff were attentive and friendly. Also plenty of hand sanitisers for customers. Which is needed these days.

Started with 4 cokes and a lemonade……all flat as tap water. 1 of them had a floating hairball only discovered as the ice melted. 5 Sunday roasts, you’d think out of 5 people one would say that was ok or nice, but no, reheated potato’s, under cooked veg, awful Yorkshire puddings, all bathed in the most awful tasting gravy ever. £80 down the drain. Lesson learned, if your the only people in there, there’s a good reason why.

We had a fantastic evening at the Queen Vic. The pub has been thoughtfully divided into separate seating areas, creating a safe and COVID-free environment. We were able to order drinks online and have them delivered to our table, which was convenient. The staff were welcoming, the atmosphere and decor were lovely, and the drink selection was impressive, with a wide variety of real ales and gins. The Christmas tree was a sight to see. I highly recommend a visit to this pub.

Hate giving poor reviews but this really was incredible. Ordered 3 lunches vegan roast was lovely however …. Two roast chickens were very undercooked and we sent them back . They came back again seriously red so we asked for a takeaway box so we can cook them at home. Politely asked about whether the chef was a different one to normal and got got told no but he is having a really bad day today. No offer of refund, guy behind the bar started getting angry we had politely complained . Should have guessed there was a reason they had a table free on Mother’s Day ….. avoid at all costs

We decided to have lunch at the Queen Vic on a stormy autumn day and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The pies were incredible - they were real homemade pies with shortcrust pastry and came with delicious gravy in traditional jugs (although it could have been a bit thicker and darker, the taste was still amazing). The chorizo and white bean stew was also delicious. For dessert, the dark chocolate brownie with caramel sauce and the warm cinnamon bun with cream cheese frosting were both fantastic. We enjoyed the Victorian decor and were impressed by the friendly waiter's service. A big thank you to him and the chef for a wonderful lunch experience.
