"I love eating it, and I am proud that I have been to a fair number of good places (and bad ones). but when visiting the ramblers rest on the laune of my fiancée did not prepare me for what I wanted to experience. eating was so good I would just say it was the best I had in the last 7 years. presentation, eating, service, decor, everything absolutely space on. and what surprised me was the price, two meals, a desert, two glasses wein, two beers and a coffee came over £40. very good eating, at a fantastic price. it is worth visiting her away what I would say was probably the only one back to this place that it was in the middle of nowhere. the split bar/restaurant method, which seems to be becoming more popular in these days at Gastro-Pubs, works very well. the dining area is cozy, close, warm and whole. During the pub area is open and dizzy. the whole place is very beautiful decorated with the chances to see everywhere. as the skull of a consecrated wicker on the wall of a room, and a sofa with dogs and dog patterned hocker and, a dog skin teppich! but after more accurate inspection, it was in any case fake to have something like that would have been thought beyond. still, a fantastic place to eat. I really can't say how good it was, except it was the best I had for a long time."

Great lunch at this country pub. Such a busy Sunday lunchtime but we didn't have to wait too long even though we hadn't booked in advance. Want to commend our waiter Karl so friendly, courteous and obviously well trained.

This is a fantastic restaurant! I've driven by it many times, but I never stopped in until last Saturday evening for a family dinner. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. They have a delicious selection of food. I would definitely go back, and I highly recommend that you check it out for yourself!

Our server Abbie was truly amazing and made our meal feel special! I can’t believe it was her first day! When we asked her about something not on the menu, she handled it with ease, and we're sorry if we seemed a bit difficult! This was our first visit to the pub, and we will definitely return! The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent! Thank you once again, Abbie!

a great contempt. I and my family left ramblers last night. the personal was friendly and the drinks pleasant. the disappointment was eating, I had eggs for the starter. the egg was really over boiled and the whole dish had no seasoning. When I told the waitress, she said I should have told her, and she would have bought me salt and pepper. the main course of steak was asked for rarely, but came very well done. that was sent back to the kitchen and a better steak was bought. the water circle that accentuated the steak was yellow. we also ordered a pizza that was good. all in all, for over £80 for 2 starters, 2 main courses, 1 child pizza, a bottle of wine, a beer and a juice, it was a great...

"Called to book a table for two, advised I have a tastecard can I use it was told yes come there's a banquet menu you have to pay cash. Arrived before ordering again told the younger waiter that I have a taste card he said thats OK. He came with the menu and said it banquet night for £11.95 each we can select from the menu 4 items starter, main, side and either bread or rice. I said can I use the the tastecard for this he said yes. Ate the food glad we didn't have to pay the full price as the portion size for the banquet menu seemed small. £14.95 for salmon tikka with 4 small pieces of salmon covered with lots of onions on a skewer. Food was average nothing to get too excited about. Asked for the bill and was being charged full price. Said I have a tastecard u need to do 2 for 1 deal. To be told banquet meal not available on tastecard. He then said he would do the charges again charging full price and then using the tastecard and it came to the same price.... so basically I paid full price for banquet portions size meal. Waiter said must have been a misunderstanding...there wasn't I was extremely clear asking him several times even whilst ordering the salmon is this on tastecard? A dishonest practice..why did we have to pay cash?..something is not being properly put through the books. Then we pay the same as the banquet price. Also was annoyed when I left didn't realise that they kept the receipt!! Feel the books are being cooked!"
