"This place had mostly good reviews for food, so we visited for a late lunch. Once we had managed to get in the door, past the dog that comes running and barking at the door every time someone comes in (avoid if you are scared of dogs), we were given different information. It was Sunday, but we didn’t want a traditional Sunday lunch. The info on internet says they do normal menu on a Sunday. The lady on the bar said normal menu applied. So we studied the menu and chose what we wanted. Then the lady on the bar told us “oh, you can now only have Sunday lunch menu”. Consequently we left and had an amazing meal elsewhere. Won’t be back."

Stopped in for a quick bite with my husband and Mum and Dad. We received a warm welcome from the lovely barmaid and Brock the friendly collie. Then stuffed our faces with hearty home cooked food by a blazing fire. We’ll be coming back!

Went for a lunchtime meal. It was superb. I had the lasagne and hubby had the belly pork. Both came out steaming and freshly cooked. Tasted great. Very filling. And the chips I ordered were proper chips not frozen. Staff were lovely. Helpful . Setting was lovely. Open fire. Lovely views.

Visited as a party of 6 for Sunday Lunch on Sun 25th Feb at 2pm. It has been at least 20 years since I have been here and I drive past twice a day to and from work so decided a visit was long overdue. I love Brock the Collie Dog, it just makes it a more homely atmosphere with a dog there bringing u his toy and having some fuss.

Firstly let me start by saying how wonderful the atmosphere was within the pub. Greeted and treated great from start to finish. Myself, my husband and our son were accommodated for no problem. We had the beef Sunday dinner and we were not disappointed. Pub was clean, well stocked and had a great selection of meals. Will be returning again for sure.

Popped in for lunch on a wednesday. One of only two tables with people seated. Food was absolutely delicious. Home made and piping hot. Had the lasagne and the fish and chips, then the stick toffee pudding and cheesecake of the day. Great big portions. Wine and ale to drink. Ale seemed well cared for. Very reasonably priced. Lovely staff. Bit chilly but still warmer than outside.

Visited, for the first time, Friday 16th March rather busy, beautiful and warm and very homely great atmosphere. We were a party of four who all ordered different meals all of us were extremely impressed with the quality of our home made food. All served piping hot, beautifully presented and very generous portions. The service was second to none. All the staff were very helpful, courteous and friendly. Good pricing, lovely and clean and we will definitely be going again very soon.

We were looking for a dog friendly pub where mine and my brother's family could eat out and take our dogs. Telephoned in advance and they were really friendly on the phone.Went to the pub and although it was obviously more of a locals pub it didn't have that uncomfortable feeling you sometimes get when strangers walk in. Ordered food, they even bought drinks to the table, great service. The food was good too, but for the decor, location, and type of pub I thought that the food was overpriced. Don't get me wrong though, I thoroughly enjoyed the mixed grill (my dog did too. No complaints on the food whatsoever, just the price.

"Been wanting to come here for a very long time after driving/walking past it, and my partner has wanted to come here since she’s moved here. Hand sanitizer upon arrival with track trace check in code. All the staff are very welcoming, friendly, helpful and all very masks. The lady we had who served us throughout our time (apologise I forgot her name began with A I think), she couldn’t have been anymore helpful. With a very wide range of food, she told us everything on the menu was very nice as she has tried everything! The decor of the restaurant is what I’d expect in a typical Italian restaurant, very rustic and has a feel of being in Italy. To start I had the belly pork with Jack Daniels sauce, I’ve never tried belly pork and it was so tasty and very tender. My other half had the goats cheese in filo pastry which was also very nice. For mains, I had the Risotto con salsiccia (spicy sausage, peppers, onions, garlic, tomato and chilli). It was so nice I’m glad it was a big portion as I wanted more! I don’t think the sausage was spicy but overall I was very impressed. Other half had a cheese chicken mushroom calzone which was also nice. We had a nice bottle of white wine which absolutely complimented the whole meal. For dessert I had sorbet and other half had a deep fried cannoli once again both really nice. Reasonable priced meal for two people, and very highly recommended. Plenty parking and we will be back soon with our family. Very authentic home cooked Italian food and Cafe Casita is way better than some of these chain restaurants!!"
