"Looking for a midweek lunch spot which was unlikely to be packed out with people rushing to enjoy post lockdown freedoms, this traditional village pub in the back streets of Clophill came to mind. It's been a good while since I was last there, but everything that impressed me last time is still in space plus a seamless and scrupulously observed set of guidelines to keep everyone safe.Good beer, great traditional food, a very friendly welcome and a chance to enjoy a sunny lunchtime meal were all big plus points, and there were plenty of other punters making the most of the chance to enjoy a proper pub. Double thumbs up all round."

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, with a great selection of both drinks and food options. I highly recommend it. The wait and bar staff were exceptional, providing excellent service from the moment we booked our reservation to helping us choose our meal and drinks.

Ventured out on a 45 minute drive as this pub was recommended for it's great choice of Real Ales. Definitely worth the drive, great selection of beers with some from smaller breweries. It's tucked away and clearly has a good local following and we were made to feel very welcome and well hosted! View menu

ant little pub tad off the main drag ,home cooked food , enjoyed soup and a sandwich but more elaborate meals available , good range of real ales well kept and wine by the glass , looks cosy in the winter with a few log burners , go and find it ….and enjoy will return. Staff friendly and helpful

I'll keep it short and simple; if you want to find a proper English pub then look no further. Just off the A6 a few miles outside Bedford. Excellent local beers well kept friendly service and decent and well priced pub grub not Gastro but that's not relevant here. One of my top 5 pubs in Bedfordshire.

Visited this pub on many occasions. Lovely friendly atmosphere and good beers. Always have a lunchtime meal when we visit, which is great value for money with home cooked food. The omelettes are delicious. Only point to make is that the menu could be changed as we visit so frequently a change to the menu would be welcomed.Well worth a visit. View menu

I came here based on a recommendation and it truly is a hidden gem. This quaint, traditional pub offers a variety of real ales and wines at reasonable prices. The locals are friendly and there's even a playful pub cat. The elderly gentleman behind the bar is efficient and runs the place smoothly. Definitely worth checking out, and now that I've found it, I will definitely be returning.

What can i say ,, it 's a good pub with good well kept beers Friendly atmosphere ,, everybody is willing to chat .There are always two or three guest beers and each week there 's another one to try ; different flavours and strengths to suit different pallets . The car park 's a bit 'snug ' but Clophills a nice place to walk through if you can 't park ,,, although i 've never had a parking problem .
