"Thought we’d pop in here for on a Friday evening with the family- as it had always looked nice. However, when we walked in everyone stopped talking, as in it went deadly silent and turned to stare at us it was extremely awkward! when we asked if they were doing the food the lady behind the bar said they were short staffed and was unsure as the chef hadn’t yet turned up and wasn’t sure when he was going to! We said it’s fine we will go elsewhere and as walking out another lady I presume the owner began shouting ‘come back, come back, we can do food for you’. We didn’t want to stay but felt like we had to then as was again very awkward for us everyone around the bar was still staring and quiet so felt like we had to stay. When we sat down the waitress who said she had just popped from home was actually nice and came over straight away to get our drinks order and then gave us time to order our food. Food arrived fairly prompting and was basic but hot and edible. The only thing to note, is that when ordering there were lots of things not available on the menu that we hadn’t been told about prior. Probably wouldn’t come back again due to the uncomfortableness."

Their chef was poorly so they had a stand in chef were only doing Roasts, as it was Sunday. However, my friend I only wanted sandwiches chips the lovely chef made an exception for us. We had the most delicious sandwiches and were very happy.
