Excellent roast dinner 5star, service was good just our table was very close to one behind which meant it made service a bit difficult

Fabulous lunch, attentive service. Highly recommend the sharing fish platter as a starter and the moule. So good can’t wait to return.

This charming pub has an antique feel and cozy beds with comfortable bedding. The breakfast is large and delicious, and the staff is fantastic. A definite must-stop!

Visited with friends on a Saturday evening and enjoyed a great meal. Everything was homemade, even the chunky chips, and freshly cooked. Prices were reasonable and the service was efficient and friendly.

Planned our lunch here for walk through Meon Valley. Prebooked and just as well as pub busy with another walking group. Been recently updated as last time we visited was preCovid. Friendly and efficient staff and very welcoming. Only problem is limited parking so car share if possible View menu

Looking for a pub meal with my wife and friends and my wife suggested the White Lion at Soberton based on her experience with her yoga friends. From the welcome as we arrived, though the excellent pub style meals and superb desserts everything was what you would want from an evening out. Should make a special mention of our server....unfortunately I didn 't get her name...who also enhanced our evening with her friendliness and banter ... All in all it scores 11 out of 10 from us!!

We had high expectations for this restaurant, as it came highly recommended and is a local favorite for one of our family members. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations. Despite being booked for a party of 9 at 2pm, the previous patrons were still occupying our table. After a delay, we were finally seated at 3pm. The lack of organization was evident, as the staff did not prioritize moving the previous group to the bar area to accommodate our reservation. The service was subpar, as the landlady seemed indifferent to our seating situation. We offered to sit in a different area to make it easier for them, but they were unable to accommodate us properly. My wife and I visited The White Lion to try out their Christmas menu. The restaurant area was warm and cozy. We were seated in a room at the back of the pub, which we jokingly referred to as 'the fridge,' as it was quite chilly. After waiting nearly 15 minutes for our drinks, we finally received them after making a complaint. Our food was eventually served, and I told the waitress that I would pay the bill right away, eat our meal, and then leave because we were so cold. She apologized and said we should have mentioned our discomfort earlier so they could have moved us to a warmer area, which left me wondering why we were seated in the cold room in the first place if we could have been reloc...
