I had an excellent meal accompanied by friendly service. The food and drinks had a solid menu, and everything was cooked and served to perfection. I would rate the service a 5 and the location a 4. The hotel is a great place to enjoy a quiet atmosphere. View menu

A perfect spot to unwind by the river. It's just far enough from the busy atmosphere of Ross to enjoy the serene views of canoes and kayaks floating by. The beer is excellent, and the fish and chips were delicious, though slightly on the small side. Service: 5, Location: 5.

Had a evening meal hot day so had seat outside, the gammon was lovely, went back for a Sunday lunch, not so good, I had lamb which was bits not slices my husband beef which was tough roast potatoes were over done and hard. Took a hour to get our meal, decided it to have a desert. Service: 4 Location: 5

I visited this pub for the first time during the August Bank Holiday, stopping in for a pint and some food. It's in a lovely location by the river, and the food was excellent with a good beer selection. I particularly enjoyed the Butty Bach and the burger. Overall, I had a great experience. Popped in for lunch, whilst driving through the area.the White Lion was recommended by a colleague and it didn't disappoint. Friendly welcome when we arrived, matched by great service, really good quality food at very reasonable prices. A good choice of Gluten free options which pleased my wife too! We visited on a Tuesday early evening and it was very quiet but the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was good (curry of the day was ace) and the service was quick and friendly.
