"Lovely restaurant with wonderful food and staff!! Highly recommend! Prices are very reasonable and portions are good! We split and appetizer of fried baby squid and for the main course we shared the Pistaccio encrusted tuna and the pasta and clams. All were delicious. We were too full for desert but the table next to us had cheese cake and they said it was amazing. Enjoy!"

"The atmosphere is wonderful, a beautiful tile floor and wine bottles decorating the walls. Marta was our server, and was running the front all by herself, with her husband in the kitchen cooking. I would say that by Italian standards the service was a normal pace. She speaks enough English to get the job done, but was extremely patient when practicing our Italian with her. The food was incredible; the caprese was fresh and light, the gnocchi melted in your mouth, tagliatelle was rich and flavorful but delicate. The baccalà was firm flaky and delightful, the pigeon was also very rich and flavorful and I would 100% recommend trying! For dessert the chocolate cake with homemade gelato, and cantuccini. Again both were excellent and well presented. In fact, the presentation on all dishes was fantastic. We love Martarè and will recommend to anyone looking for an authentic meal in Firenze"

"my man and I visited this restaurant for dinner. giovanni greeted us at the door and sat down us. the restaurant was very busy so it took a few minutes to get some water and wein. the food was incredible! we had fried squash blossoms that were amazingly followed by filet steak and roasted pork. the carrots served with the meal were divine. they tasted as if they had cooked in meat fat. Soupe and salads were expertly prepared together with fantastic dessert and of course wine. very enjoyed our experience here. I'd like to go back!"

"This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel, the Davanzati. It 's very close, essentially across the street. We ate here a few times, for lunch and for after dinner drinks. The food was great the flatbreads with prosciutto and cheese were enormous! The service was friendly and quick, and we were happy that the staff spoke enough English for these tourists from Canada. The focus of the food was farm to table , which we really liked. The inside of the restaurant was very charming, and we enjoyed sitting outside on their covered patio."

"Had an amazing meal here. The staff seemed well aware and careful about my requests for gluten free. My non celiac partner and I ordered the crostini appetizer and we were each brought bowls of our own bread. The Florentine steak was excellent. After many meals of carbs, I was happy to eat a big portion of meat. Found out about this restaurant through the Associazione Italiana Celiacha. The restaurant is AIC certified."
