Van Zeller - Menu

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Although it was a bit pricey, I would definitely come back.

We had a fantastic experience with the six-course tasting menu paired with wine. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The service was exceptional and we highly recommend this restaurant.

I had a fantastic time at this restaurant. The gourmet food on the 6-course tasting menu was of exceptional quality. The waitstaff provided great descriptions of each dish. The flavors were delightful, and the wine was delicious.

Not the cheapest meal you will ever have,or the biggest quantity, however the quality of the food is superb and the service is understated, discreet but very efficient. This was our third visit and the experience has proved to be consistent.

The first course, "Celeriac apple Remoulade," was served in an amuse bouche size portion in a dish similar to a Petri dish. Despite its small size, it was full of flavor. The remoulade was creamy and flavorful with a hint of mustard, and the apple slices provided a refreshing and sharp contrast.

The crispy pork belly dish with watermelon, basil, sesame, and tapioca was another standout. The pork belly and tempura were both delicious and flavorful. The creamy ink sauce with lemongrass gave it a nice kick, while the caramelized watermelon added a juicy sweetness. The diced watermelon and tapioca garnish were also visually pleasing. The crispy pork crackling added a nice crunch, and the sesame snow added a hint of nuttiness. Overall, it was a fantastic dish.

We decided to book Van Zellar for my husband's birthday based on the positive reviews online. We have dined in several Michelin-starred restaurants and found that this restaurant could easily compete with the best of them. We opted for the tasting menu and each course was impeccable. The staff were friendly and not pretentious, which was a refreshing change, and they did a great job recommending the perfect wine to complement our meal. We will definitely be returning in the future!
