"This is probably my second-favorite restaurant in the immediate Altstetten area, coming in right after the La Taqueria. Food is always good and the value-for-money is also excellent considering Zurich prices). I live nearby, so I 've probably been here 15-20 times in the past year and a half since they opened, and every time am happy with the food and service. The pastas also use freshly made noodles, which is pretty obvious from the taste, and the basics like carbonara are always delicious. There 's also a pretty wide selection of generic European cuisine, like steaks and cordon bleu, all of which is good but we tend to always get the specialties of pasta or pizza. Their specialty pizzas here are my favorite in Zurich although it 's not my favorite pizzeria in my entire life), and in general I find the food better than the big Italian chain restaurants like Santa Lucia and it 's miles better than the generic pizza and kebab restaurants that you find all over the place. I live close enough that it 's an easy visit for me every few weeks, but even if I moved to the other side of Zurich I 'm sure I would come back every now and then. The outside patio is great in summer, especially now that the construction at Farbhof is FINALLY finished after nearly 3 years. "We had a wonderful meal here recently. There were four of us and we simply love Syrian-oriental cuisine. If you don't know her, I can only recommend Damas.
