"I am born in Dachau but live in the U.S. Short visit, but found some time to go out for dinner with my dad and an old friend. I wasn't sure if I could trust the reviews on trip advisor, as I haven't had great results during my last trip to France and Germany. But my friend confirmed that this was a nice place ( and also some of the other restaurants with good ratings in Dachau).I like to eat German / Bavarian when I visit, this being Austrian still fits that :). The meal started with an offered amuse bouche, tartare of beats and I believe avocado, very nicely seasoned and tasty. We ordered soups and I an appetizer of baked goat cheese wrapped in bacon with greens and crudités. Nicely plated, harmonious colors and very tasty- we all loved it. Mains: Duo of fish filets, duck breast and Filet goulash. All also very nice, everybody loved it ! The portions are a little smaller than in many German restaurants which was a very nice surprise, but still big enough so we only split one desert - prune dumplings, again very nicely prepared, a bit to sweet for my taste. Wine by the glass, white, rose and my red , quite enjoyable as well. Our waitress was friendly and efficient.Only negatives (which made them miss 5 stars in my book) : the main dishes didn't come together but with a couple minutes in between the first to the last. And the other negative ( for travelers with not much cash but credit cards ) they don't accept anything but the local EC card, so no Visa, no Amex.Overall I highly recommend this Vinothek Steirer and will definitely come back on my next trip."

we wanted a restaurant just a few minutes walk to the depot. read other reviews and knew that this was the place to go. the personal was receptive and warm. the menu is fresh, innovatiw and interesting. the taste was like nothing I've ever tried. pleasant, tasteful...played the mix of texture and taste was exceptional. I am not a food critic, but as my second meal of a ten-day trip to Germany I can say that it was my favorite.

Steirer is one of our favourite restaurants in Bavaria. The food is über original and made from scratch. The restaurant and building has a warmth to it, and it is clean and the staff is friendly. This is really exquisite place to take the family or have a romantic night with a partner. The staff and chef met my husbands dietary requests with a smile, he is gluten-free and lactose intolerant. I highly recommend this venue, it's world-class!

On a very cold raining Saturday night last month we found this little restaurant after reading some reviews on TripAdvisor. We only had one night in Dachau and to be honest we were expecting the usual Bavarian fare, but were we pleasantly surprised. The food was so fresh and delightfully different with beautiful subtle flavours. My husband and I both ordered the fish which was served with beautiful homemade picked ginger. The infusion of flavours was perfect and so different from any other meal we had while in Europe. We then followed this with the apple strudel which was also light and delicious. In fact we both voted this the best meal we had for the whole of the month we had been travelli...

"The first morning after our arrival we went to breakfast. We arrived on Sunday, the shops were closed. And on Monday morning first to buy hot, to eat at home, didn't have to be. We finally had a vacation. In the morning we drove through Dachaus Altstadt at 09.30. Many restaurants had not opened at that time. The Corso immediately noticed us; he had open, also a beautiful garden outside the door. At this time we found a small piece down a parking lot. For more lively times, you probably need to find more for a parking lot. We sat on the terrace with a bright sunshine and immediately received the cards. Breakfast was from 8:30 to 12:30. There were various variants, for example a sweet breakfast with croissants and jam, but also the hearty variants of interest for us with agitation or mirroring and cut. We chose the Bavarian breakfast with two eggs, a pulp, Obatzda and various Italian sausages. For this we received a basket with six small rolls as well as butter, jam and honey. We could feed it! We liked it so well here that we came to breakfast twice. During the second visit we took the Ligurian breakfast with a stirrer, parma ham and cheese, and again the bread basket with butter etc. It was also delicious and rich. During the third visit we returned the Bavarian breakfast. We just found it delicious. Breakfast prices include a hot drink, so coffee in all variations, chocolate or tea. At noon cheap Italian dishes are offered. We also saw an extensive extraboard. In the evening, other dishes were offered which are somewhat more expensive. The prices were reasonable for the area, we were finally in Munich. We didn't try the food, we were here for breakfast. And that was worth it. In addition to the beautiful outdoor terrace, the spacious restaurant is also attractively furnished. We sat inside twice for puppy attacks, here too we felt comfortable. The rather young, apparently Italian staff was friendly and friendly at all visits. We recommend the restaurant for breakfast and can imagine that lunch and evening meals are also worth a visit."
