This was our first restaurant in Berlin and we were very impressed. I ordered smoked pork and my husband something like 3 types of steak. Anyway, the food was great and so was the beer. The staff was very nice and helpful.

We were here on Wednesday night and had a nice meal. We were here before Christmas and had a nice meal, so we wanted to go back. The staff was warm and welcoming, the food was nice. Good atmosphere all around. The apple strudel was... delicious!

One of the restaurants for the group w/e away. Sat outside due to the warm evening weather and cooled with beer. Food was good and plentiful. A good selection on the menu which all the group enjoyed. I ate here recently dinner and the food was of a very high standard if not a bit expensive. The place offers a beautiful collection of outdoor tables equipped on Treskowallee with the usual ceilings, such as the custom in Germany....The service was good, like the beer. I visited on another occasion only for drinks and the service was just as good.

According to my taste, the Wernesgrüner Bierstuben are the best restaurant, café and pub in the Berlin district Lichtenberg. The services are gas-torientated and polite, the food and drinks are very tasty and good-bourgeois. The level is excellent for a gastronomy operation of this category. This review is true because the restaurant is fully booked at peak times and is not available without reservation. The evaluation cook should go where the pepper grows. My motto is: Next. I am regularily visiting that restaurant. I even knew it from the time before the unification in 1990. It has been always a good address for great Berlin/German meals. Unfortunately, last time me and my friend realized that the selection on the manu was drastically...reduced, and it didn't contain as much classical Berlin/German meals as it used to do; the price was increased as well. This was very disappointing, althought the food was as good as always. And, as the previous reviewer 5stings already noted, the smoked Schweinshaxe and Schweinerippchen are extraordinary. But also the other food is still very good. So, this restaurant is still recommended. View menu
