"This restaurant is the first microbrewery of its kind in the city and, most importantly, the first to adhere to the strict German Beer Purity Law of 1516. If you're a fan of Oktoberfest, keep reading! Let’s explore their beers. It’s fantastic—being a brewery means you can ask the friendly staff behind the bar to sample each of their draft beers before committing to a pint or two! You might expect a focus on hearty Bavarian flavors. I visited here many years ago and had their fish and chips, pork, and apple strudel with ice cream, all of which were excellent. The veggie burger and the chorizo pork burger are also perfect for soaking up the beer, along with their brunch options. Overall, the combination of great beer and the unique atmosphere of this establishment—housed in the historic Templeton Carpet Factory building by Glasgow Green—makes it a truly special place."

Beautiful inside and out. Didn't get to try the food tho Had a few St. Mungo's Learned it was an old carpet factory. Tracks are still in the floor by the door. View menu

This large brewery serves my favorite beer, white beer. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff is both efficient and friendly. However, there's room for improvement in their take on traditional German cuisine, as dishes like the curry sausage and apple strudel stray quite a bit from the authentic preparations.

Brilliant Bar/Brewery, Excellent variety of beers. Sampled the West Flight, that allows you to try 4 1/3pints. Been many a time here for beers, dinner nights out and done a couple of brewery tours too. A must for any beer aficionado. The German style food is great, from currywurst to schnitzels hard to beat. Plus it's on Glasgow green park, central spot in Glasgow.

excellent fish and chip with west flight for 4 animals of their choice. baked hake ratatouille is beautiful with fresh vegetables with rosmarin, baked carrots and brot, west dipping steak are beautifully cooked with crispy chips and salat. it is so beautifully decorated and organized restaurant with great selection of beer for its pleasure. black west is the beer I liked most, as it is full with dark chocolate and malty aromas with hauch of bitterness. One of my favorite spots in Glasgow, located near Glasgow Green, has gained so much popularity that it’s now included in sightseeing guides. They serve delicious German lagers, including their signature drink, St Mungo’s beer, brewed in honor of the city’s patron saint. Their wheat beer is exceptional. The staff are fantastic, and there’s an outdoor area along with a garden bar that must be amazing on a sunny day. Motto: Glaswegian Heart, German Head. Absolutely fabulous!

We had a great experience here. Super friendly staff, delicious beers (I got a flight of 4 of their own beers which came in 1/3 pints of each), amazing and tasty German food, all at a great price! The curry wurst was super flavorful and they were nice enough to let us upgrade our fries to jager fries, and wow the jager sauce was fantastic! The spatzle with smoked cheese was excellent as well. The hall was very large and the tables were well spaced. We will definitely be returning in the warmer months to take advantage of the great location on the green!
