"The food was good. But the last reception contained things we didn't order. I only discovered it after payment (paid with a credit card 40€ and asked them to sort it. They asked me to pay with the card again, but... this time the right amount of €34. Suppose they will be the first payment I pay for the second time. After that they returned me in cash 34€, but not 40€. When I asked what's going on, they started talking to me, although I said it twice clearly that I don't speak German. Then they said Don 't worry, so our system works, everything is right! so I have just left the place, hoping that the reserved amount on my card will be adjusted according to the functioning of the system. Unfortunately it did not happen and I was charged both 40€ and 34€ from my card. I hope the place will use this additional 6€ to improve their customer service."

A cozy little restaurant in Hafencity. Quality is excellent and prices are reasonable. Pickupserbice works very well. Very recommended

The food is delicious and of good quality. The selection is quite limited. For example, I wish there were other soups. But always over! View menu

eating was unfortunately too fat. I know I've ordered a cheese kitten and dumplings, but this has blown up frames. in the soinatknödeln was also a crimped one that, unfortunately, has tasted me even me. dill? estragon?

Despite of very friendly staff we unfortunately had a bad experience with our breakfast. The bread/pastries (croissant, bun and slices of bread) were served cold and dry, the cheese at the brunch plate was dry and ‘hard’ to chew, the yoghurt had an undefinable taste...and the fruits on top of the yoghurt were randomly picked and placed. All in all an unfortunate food experience, but the place deserves two for placement and staff! View menu

We landed here by chance when we were looking for a little boost. Although we had to taste something when we got the bread times, it was a bit more modern than we usually had bread times in the Alpine area. But that's absolutely not negative and doesn't change anything because it was delicious, we were kindly served and there's nothing in everything you can mug here. Especially the salad was crisp and a really tasty mixture, and the berry limonade was not just a name (there were so many berries in that the straw was repeatedly drunk;

I was with my wife this week in some restaurants, cafes etc. in Hamburg. Everywhere expensive, and unfortunately not always worth it. The Wilde Fräulein was an outstanding example of how to make it right: great location, playful and harmonious, including a mountain gondola, where you can sit and dine comfortably; service conscious, attentive and friendly staff; a manageable yet varied menu of food and drinks; and these dishes and drinks are not only served with love, but also prepared with love. An absolute recommendation and we are happy to come back here.

"There's always a question (in my mind, anyway) as to Michelin's accuracy/usefulness outside of France. In the US, it's not very helpful at all and in Europe ex-France, I've found it hit and miss. Haerlin represented only my second stab at a two-star in Germany and the first meal (Heinz Winkler), while a thoroughly wonderful overall experience, felt like the second star might have been a stretch. Not so at Haerlin, this was a two-star meal that stands fork-to-fork with any I can remember.The food is stylized to within an inch of its life, but close to flawless in both conception and execution. Outside of a large selection of generally unremarkable breads and a luke-warm roasted onion broth added to an amuse at table side that probably should have been hotter, the meal was simply one perfect dish after another. Maybe the sorbet intermezzo was a little old school in such a fashion forward meal, but - hey - it was delicious! Keep it.The room is suitably formal, luxurious in a traditional style, and quite comfortable. The pace of service might be a little leisurely for some (I ate alone and the four-course menu (seven + courses, including amuses, etc) pushed it a bit, stretching just over three hours. However, the friendly and attentive staff kept an eye out the entire time and stopped by if the time between courses presented the opportunity.The somm, in particular, was a great diversion, visiting from time to time to discuss the varied and interesting wines on offer. He provided useful insight into the outstanding selection of trocken Rieslings on the list. He guided me to a 2001 Burklin-Wolf GG that, at Eu 150, was both a great bottle of mature white and a tremendous value for a wine of this quality in this type of restaurant. (Good luck finding a white burgundy of this quality at this price at any multi-star restaurant - or at retail, for that matter.) He also suggested a wonderful German Pinot Noir by the glass that worked perfectly with the meat course and wasn't terribly expensive. The list is extensive, but not the tome you see at some restaurants, but don't be fooled - wine service at Haerlin is both a major plus and represents notable value in the context of multi-star restaurants.I'm not going to argue two-star vs three-star because that distinction often seems to be kind of mysterious (and tangentially related to the food), but I will say that this place certainly deserves two stars. I had just a flat-out great meal. If you can work in a visit, Haerlin should be high on your list."
