"I have been to this restaurant twice, and will visit many more times in the future. I like the interior decoration, especially the full length windows which conceals what the diners are eating but shows the interior. The duck with peanut sauce was delicious. The skin crispy, and the meat succulent. just super. We also ordered the "Lion's head", which is something I only heard of, and it exceeds expectation.Well, I could rave on about this place but you only have to try!I've seen people just reading at the menu outside the restaurant, pause a moment, then walk away. Okay the menu is a bit different from the usual Chinese restaurants in Munich because the names of the food is confusing I guess. Always wanted to run out and tell them "you are missing out!""

The reastaurant is told to be an authentic Chinese restaurant in Munich. Our food was more like german-chinese that was bit disappointing for us.

Good food and also quite authentic Chinese. The place is nicely styled. We could only pay with cash. And we didn't get the option to adjust a menu (fried...

The restaurant is close to Universitaet underground and it's nice and fashionable. Food is good and not too salty, perhaps prices are a little bit higher than expected.

The dishes are absoluteltly delicious, whatever we tried was a really positive experience. I've never been to China - but this restaurant definitely differs a lot from what "German-Chinese" Restaurants have to offer. I can highly recommend a visit there. It's not inexpensive but worth every cent you pay.

If anyone wants to have an authentic Chinese meal in Munich run along to Yi Nong,in Schwabing, Jiaozi or dumplings which are tasty and fresh, great soups and many other dishes. We are working our way through the menu and enjoying all the dishes we miss from China. The restaurant is always full of Chinese customers which speaks for itself. There is a menu on weekdays which is very good value for money.

As we Chinese all know there is no good Chinese restaurant in Munich, this is the OLNY exception. From the owner of former imbiss "Ni Hao" which is now closed, a stereo type Shanghainese lady who has brought Chinese food in Munich to a new level. I am not a fan of interior which could've been more cozy, but Shanghai cuisine they have in the menu remind me of lots like the home made dishes. Worth to try!

This chinese restaurant offers original chinese cuisine for fair prices. Also, a very friendly service, excellent soups, delicious deserts, and a very comfortable, nice atmosphere. - Open kitchen room: many talk about it, few actually *do* it, and open the door. A good sign. - During lunch hours on weekdays lunch menue for the working people, great price there. - Very good among the chinese restaurants in Munich (which, I guess, has not the *greates* tradition of chinese restaurants, compared to other big tourist cities worldwide; but this restaurant serves *really* well-tasting food). - Not too many places! Take care to get one. :)

First, I am a native Chinese, and for that I do know what is a real traditional Chinese restaurant.A top Chinese restaurant mostly specialises in one and only one cuisine, such as Cantonese, Sichuan, etc. Yi Nong is definitely in that category. You see mixed courses on the menu. What I can see at most is Yi Nong is more like a family restaurant, nothing fancy.I ordered fish and mixed stew (shrimp, vege, eggs, meatballs, etc) for dinner. Both were not in good portions, and ingredients were not that fresh.Fish wasn't that well prepared, for instance, scales weren't peeled off.Considering the general quality of Chinese restaurants in Munich, I would still recommend it.

This restaurant started from a tiny bistro a few meters down the street. For almost ten years they managed to maintain very high quality. They are best at Shanghai cuisine, which is rarely seen outside China. Dishes are featured by seasonal products, light seasoning to preserve the original tastes of all ingredients. The taste is exactly the same as is from every mama's kitchen in Shanghai, which is not easy. Sometimes they search through importers all over Germany to get all necessary ingredients, instead of compromising in quality. I have been dining here since they started the little bistro, and now I come here every time when I visit Munich. Never disappointed.
