"Oh how I wish I could give YO’ Mac Cheese 5 stars! They have only one vegan dish (the Health Prez , but it’s so good (and so endlessly customizable that I could eat it every day. Really. Really and truly. It’s that good. The pasta is perfectly cooked and the vegan cheese (faux-mage, geddit? is melty and delicious. It typically comes with spinach and broccoli, but they were out of broccoli when we went, so I substituted mushrooms, and then I pimped it up with cherry tomatoes. Holy ****! Sheer heaven! Next time I’m adding fried onions on top, as my friend did, to create absolute perfection (especially if broccoli is available . I wasn’t hungry when we went, so I ordered the “French size,” which I polished off in moments because it was just that tasty. It’s sufficiently large for all but the biggest of appetites; go for the “American size” only if you are absolutely famished. And yes, those names for small and large sizes are absolutely hilarious. With vegan mac cheese that delicious, this place deserves a 5-star review based on food alone. But wait; there’s more. Johann (hence the “YO” in the resto’s name is a big hip-hop head, and he and his friends came up with some hilarious plays on words for the names of the various (vegetarian but not vegan dishes: Notorious Brie.I.G., Mary J. Bleu, Tupac Chaource, Fifty Chèvre, Ol’ Dirty Cheddar, Eminemental, Cheddar Hill Gang, and (my favorite Straight Outta Comptome (though it should have been Comtomme, of course . Had the vegan mac&cheese (includes broccoli, spinach, and I added cherry tomatoes) and it was very good. You can have dinner there, order it online, or at the restaurant as take-out. I had the biggest size which in hindsight was a bit much, but since I enjoyed it so much I probably would've wanted more if I had the smaller portion.
