"Wow, wow, wow! We visited Zulaika on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, for a meal, and it was absolutely fantastic. The dishes were served at perfect intervals, so we never felt rushed, and we weren’t constantly pestered for drink refills like in many Indian restaurants. I always like to take home half of my meal for lunch the next day, and there was certainly plenty left over. We've also ordered takeout from here, and the food is just as delicious. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Zulaika—it's a lovely, clean restaurant. Thank you for a great evening!"

We took advantage of the Groupon offer, and I’m so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious, and the naan bread was the fluffiest I’ve ever had. The Rogan Josh, chicken chat, and stuffed peppers were all fantastic. The service was very friendly, and we will definitely be returning!

The restaurant is a medium-sized establishment located on the A6 in Great Moor, Stockport, with limited street parking available. It offers a diverse selection of Indian dishes, including a menu specifically for children. The restaurant is licensed and includes a bar, with prices being moderately expensive. Overall, it serves as a valuable local resource for dining.

1:30 mins to wait for arrival. I ordered chicken tikka starter, chicken was cold. Main..king prawn karahi with pilu rice, curry was look warm hottest spicy Karahi I’ve ever had, should be flavoursome but not over spiced with heat, my mouth is burning. Rice cold! Will not be ordering again. Prawns, thankfully were ok. Bad attitude from driver/delivery person.Reason for delay restaurant was busy! So that’s ok! Service: Take out

I ordered from here on ‘just eat’ every week. Then the standard dropped. I called them and they said they would get back to me!!! They did not therefore I could not go back to them and the New Sagor Tandoori a few doors down have my regular custom. WOW! Sometimes these things happen for a reason! Zulaika failed unfortunately for them but it lead me to the New Sagor Tandoori and its price is great and their food is amazing!! Food: 1

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
