"We went to Zum Bruderhaus for a family lunch with 4 people on a Sunday in January. We made a reservation by email before. When we arrived they gave us a table in the hallway between the 2 dining rooms. We were told this was normally not used as a dining table, but because they had 2 very big groups (societies of old man that were very very noisy) that morning, this was the only table they had left. After making a reservation by email before, they should have told us this before, so we could have chosen an other place to have lunch. Furthermore it was very cold that day, but the door in the hallway was continually opened by the old men who went smoking outside. They did not close the door, so we had to do that all the time. Even worse... the waitress came to us to told us not to shut the door too hard, because it is a very old building. Instead of telling the old men to keep the door closed, she was very unkind to us. Then the food... We have never seen käsespätzle like this. It was very wet stuff from the oven in a strange too herby sauce. The redfish was fried with a too thick layer of breadcrumbs. Only the wiener schnitzel and roast beef were okay, but nothing special about that as well. We will never come back here again and we will never recommend the place. I would advise you to search for an other place to enjoy your lunch."

great eating, beer and price not too bad. but service can be really bad if full. they leave waiter alone with over guests drinks, eating and paying to serve. Moreover, the Greek waiter is not really friendly.

In one of the oldest buildings of this part of Düsseldorf (Hamm) there's a quite new restaurant the Zum Bruderhaus Parking might be difficult but the food compensates for everything. Service is really nice, atmosphere is also enjoyable. It's a bit difficult to...reach, but after your dinner or your lunch you can go for a nice walk along the nice beaches [sic of the river rhine. we hoped here as it is our newest place, so we thought we should check it and we were very pleasantly surprised. it was a Friday night in this little one, but it was packed, we had luck getting a table without reservation, guess. as we were only able to impress us. eating was fantastic, it felt like a German gastro-pub with more restaurant feeling. we tried really tasty German mini dishes (Tapas style) to begin and then went on main courses, no room for one dessert, as we were filled! big beer and beautiful wine choices. will definitely be back.

first, it is so difficult to park directly at the river, but also in a residential area. the restaurant is located on a beautiful old building and it has a cozy and cozy atmosphere. service was friendly and helpful. we had the tapas star who was interesting. fried camembert, a pumpkin soup something else in broth crumbs and a ham Slave? I chose the special, which was smeared with brilliant sides of red cabbage, chestnut mousse and kartoffeln. a beautiful bottle of German red wine to go and follow a chocolate desert. a good choice, but maybe another starter next time View menu

Firstly it's right by the river but also in a residential area so difficult to park. The restaurant is on a lovely old building and it has a welcoming and homely atmosphere. Service was friendly and helpful. We had the tapas starter which was interesting - fried Camembert, a pumpkin soup something else in breadcrumbs and a ham slaw? I chose the special which was leg of roast goose with brilliant sides - red cabbage, chestnut mousse and mashed potatoes. A lovely bottle of German red wine to go with and a chocolate desert to follow. A good choice - but maybe a different starter next time
