"the gasthof to the cross lies outside the common st. between the durner and the cold hostel up to about 1000 m above sea level, a little set back on the b 500. the gasthof, which is operated in the third generation, has been renovated a few years ago and is now in a stylish ambiente. in the dining room and in the next room they sit very cozy and can enjoy the localities and dishes of the season as well as the well maintained Baden-Württemberg weine. the great gastronomy is still decorated by a beautiful tile stove; almost turns into a living room. the foods are extremely tasty and on request they also receive semi-portions. the house is also ideal for family celebrations of all kinds, for business trips and annual celebrations. in summer they can also relax on a small summer terrace and enjoy nature and drink. the gasthof also has 15 stylishly furnished foreign rooms and in the next building he has holiday apartments. the price-performance ratio is consistent. centrally located in the south black forest, the house is also suitable for day trips to the nearer and more environment; in winter also for skiing. the house is very family friendly guided"

"We booked a table for Saturday evening at 7pm and arrived on time. After taking a few pics outside of the stunning facade we went inside and were seated at a fairly large table. The interior was just as stunning as the outside being a traditional mountain Gasthof. The place was quite busy with a lot of families dining and had a homely feel to it which was good. The waiter greeted us and gave us menus etc but then rushed off being obviously very busy. After around 30mins we began to feel a bit neglected as we had not been offered any drinks and could not seem to attract any attention from the waiter. Just as we were contemplating leaving he appeared & asked if we were ready to order? We said yes but would also like some drinks too! Another 10 mins later the drinks arrived followed shortly after by our starters. The wild garlic soup was excellent! Between the five of us we tried the venison, pork, salmon, steak & chicken curry German style! To sum up, the food was superb but let down by poor service. Ok the place was busy but we should have been offered drinks upon being seated. Would definitely go back but maybe in the week rather than weekend. Also, just a reminder that like a lot of the other restaurants/Gasthof's in the area they are closed on Mondays."

"Very nice ambience, eating very good, plentiful and reasonable. Recommendation: Flame cake or roast. The service is friendly and accommodating. The farm with spirits and a meat table is well equipped with all kinds of Black Forest specialties. Unfortunately, the air-dried and smoked Mettwürste survived only at the end of the holiday."

"The ambience impresses with a lot of bright wood that has been processed, and so the guest room is comfortable and welcoming and through the whole atmosphere you can stay after eating with a glass of wine or a digestive tract. The service is very friendly and attentive and always strives for the good of the guest. The menu is very extensive and there is something for everyone. each dish is also available as a small part, which is also recommended if one is not a big eater because the portions are not very small. The daily menu is always a choice if you need to spend a cozy culinary evening or lunch. The kitchen is characterized by the fact that it dominates the classics such as a Wiener Schnitzel or a trout blue as well as a shrub or a skalopp. But the highlight in the Son-Post are the lovingly dressed desserts you get there. And what would be a good food without good wine? This is also served here. The wine map contains a good selection of Baden weeping, which is an expression of the home compound, but it is also found, similar to the other German wine-growing regions and weeping from abroad. All in all, you can say that you have grown up well in the sunmail whenever you want to go well."
