We brought cooking cheese with music and a homemade sausage plate. All good average. The cooking cheese could have been creamier, has tasted too much for hand cheese... The portions were good.

"On my birthday it was a coincidence that I could spend a sunny day in the Odenwald and make a 5 hour hike around Fürth. At the same time, on a recommendation from a friend, I decided to return to the “Schorsch”. Not only the sunny weather, but also the fact that birthday skiers get a free meal in the “Schorsch”, moved me to make a stop here. One day before, I announced my arrival by phone and explained that although I am an individual, I have a large group of hikers with whom I would like to return to this restaurant at a later time. I was not told that this was a problem. Obviously, that was a misunderstanding. When I entered the restaurant, I was initially very impressed by the cozy ambience. Hundreds of watches of different design lined the walls. It was also very delicious and the tables were 2/3. I was looking for a single table. I wish I could report better, but unfortunately I was treated extremely unfriendly by the operation when I said I had a birthday. “Well, that’s not the case, because they are alone. This is only when you make her celebration here” I was told in a burschikosem sound. This would also stand in the map and on the Internet. My remark that I would have clarified my solo commemoration by phone during the day was also a little understanding. She went to the kitchen to settle the thing and then came back. In the meantime, I got the chess roast in my face, as I came before the other guests who were present with a begging arm. I could not have imagined such a humiliating treatment on my 40th birthday in my dream. Sadly, I was granted to take the food free of charge, “but not the drinks” then said it in just as unfriendly tone. I suppressed my impulse to grab and go the bag, and instead decided to eat a rag steak. Finally, during my 5 hour walk I was so excited about the restaurant and the hunger was noticeable. In the map I could find two comments regarding birthday skiers. Once, “Birth Day” was actually the speech, with no word the guests were mentioned (e.g., you could think about it). Another time there was only “if you eat with us on their birthday, then ...” For an hour, until the payment of the beverage bill, I felt more tolerated than welcome and sneaked down the food relatively quickly. I also dispensed with another drink as my appetite had passed away. Two days later, I called again to the restaurant to report to the chief with whom I had already led the first phone call about the unfriendly treatment. In a quiet tone, I started my story – it should not be a complaint, rather a clarification – but I was interrupted quite burschikos, “You don’t have to come back with their hiking friends” it was then – and the listener was set up. Why was this just not told me to be honest about my first call? I would have liked to save this experience. The Rumpsteak, by the way, was just right and tasted as I empty the plate. The onions were not crispy roasted, but very soft, almost like Kraut, but also quite delicious. But I was like in trance, and a sense of pleasure could not arise. The fact that buses full of tourists visit this place every day has obviously made the staff so blunt that no warm or sensitive treatment of guests is possible. This clearly focuses on commerce. Or was it just the “rough Odenwälder Mentalität”? But I experienced it in the Odenwald – thank God – mostly differently. I will certainly not return, let alone recommend the restaurant, and if it is still so often on our hiking trail."
