even if they are a native, they will be treated with contempt! we waited for over 30 minutes to pick up our food order and finally give up. to happiness.

A basic but very authentic and welcoming Apfelwein place. They have a lovely garden and it is not overrun by tourist. The charming and chilled alternative to Sachsenhausen.

The Stalburg is located next door to the Stalburg Theater and a great spot to have dinner before a show. It is one a the few remaining very typical German Restaurants, serving Schnitzel, Grüne Sosse and Bratkartoffeln (breaded pork cutlet, a sauce made from yoghurt,mayo and seven different herbs and home fries), which is what I always have, and many other local foods. I also like the German Apfelwein (kind of a hard cider, but sour) which is made locally. Yum!
