"Leider hat der erste gute Eindruck bei Betreten des Restaurants nicht lange angehalten. Die Speisekarte ist vielseitig und verspricht einige geschmackvolle Gerichte. Wir entschieden uns für ein Chateau Briand auf einer Platte für zwei Personen angerichtet. Als diese dann serviert wurde, stellte die Kellnerin sie nur lieblos ab und wollte wieder gehen. Wir baten sie darauf, uns das Essen auf unseren Tellern vorzulegen. Bei einem Gericht von einem stolzen Preis von knapp 50 € hielten wir dies auch ohne diesen Hinweis für selbstverständlich. Leider wurden wir eines Besseren belehrt. Es sei hier nicht üblich kam zur Antwort. Sie schickte dann ihren Vater, welcher diese Aufgabe eher widerwillig mit einem scherzhaften "kostet aber extra" übernahm. Die Servierplatte war üppig mit Reis, Pommes, Kartoffelrösti und Bratkartoffeln beladen. Füllmaterial, womit man allein mehr als zwei Personen satt bekommen könnte. Es gab natürlich auch einiges an Gemüse, teils frisch oder aus der Dose. Alles mit einer geschmacksneutralen Sauce Hollandaise verschlimmbessert, da das Gemüse darin ertränkt wurde. Das Rinderfilet war sehr geschmackvoll, aber alles in Allem, kein Gericht, was diesen Preis rechtfertigt. Beim Bezahlen wurde unsere Kreditkarte von der Kellnerin in pampigen Tonfall abgelehnt, mit der Begründung, weil das hier so üblich sei. Um die Ecke stehe ein Geldautomat, EC-Karte ginge aber auch. Sie war dann etwas überfordert, ließ uns sitzen und musste auch diesmal wieder nach ihrem Vater rufen. Dieser ließ sich dann demonstrativ Zeit, unsere Bezahlung abzuschließen. So geht man nicht mit Kunden um. Statt Masse auf dem Teller hätten wir uns lieber Klasse und einen besseren Service gewünscht. Wir sehen von weiteren Besuchen in diesem Lokal ab. Es gibt genügend gute Restaurants, wo man nicht nur das Beste (sein Geld) vom Gast will, sondern auch sein Bestes."

"While visiting friends in Bonn we stopped off for some ice cream whilst sight seeing. The service was friendly and there was a good range of flavours to choose from. Most of us had chocolate or salted caramel. They were as good as some of the best Gelato we've had in Italy."

"We regularly go to the New Wok when we are in town for shopping or pre theater. Our last visit there this month was as great as many others before.The food is freshly prepared in the open kitchen and then brought to your table (or you do take away). You clean up yourself taking the trays and dishes to a rolling tray cabinet in the back. So it is a Chinese fast food place.The food is always excellent. I had duck noodles, chicken noodles, bami goreng and various other dishes. Good sized portions, very tasty, freshly prepared (that is why it is no problem for them to cater to your special wishes, I don't like bell peppers e.g. and I can just order "no bell peppers". Never a problem. People are always very friendly. Drinks are out of the bottle or can not from tab.We will be back. :-)"

"Amazing food! This is the best Indian food in Bonn coming from a seasoned Indian foodie ; My family and I order here at least twice a week and we are so delighted that they serve authentic food ! Most amazing part is that every dish actually tastes different, not like in other restaurants where basically every curry tastes the same. I am genuinely surprised by the negative reviews and felt it was time to not care about my privacy and actually post my experience about the super tasty food and service these guys provide ! "I ordered two curries with gyoza to take away today and was negatively surprised when I got home! I got two dusty dry “curries” with a disproportionate amount of rice. There wasn't even a tiny puddle of sauce in sight. Dry rice with gyoza and that for 30€... but that's it for me. Even the nice service can't help. I have fond memories of the store from the past. Delicious curry with great gyoza at a fair price. I didn't see any of that today. I won't come back again."

"We liked to be there. The ambiente is really nice. It is a mixture of modern, sporty and cozy. The principle is quite good and easy. Most of the things are originally vegan and you can than top this with tofu, falafel etc. They also have vegan pancakes and a vegan chocolat pudding made of avocado and banana. The owner and the staff were very friendly and you feel welcome. Everything which is vegan is signed in the menue, so you do not need to ask for. I can recommand to go there! We will come back"

"We had with the three of us one big plate with delicious vegetarian antipasti, two very fine pasta (olio, aglio e peperoncini arrabiata) and a children pizza. Afterwards we took a well made crème brûlée. The wine was perfect (Sauvignon Nero d’Avola), the...service professional and friendly and the atmosphere ‘sehr gemütlich’ with lots of locals enjoying the food. We paid euro and left satisfied our table !"

"Das hat man nicht oft. Authentisch zubereitete Gerichte außerhalb des Herkunftslandes. Hier im Red Sea hat man es. Und das mitten in Bonn!Wir fühlen uns wie auf Reisen. Sitzen auf der ganz gemütlichen Hinterhof-Terrasse vor der roten Hausfassade, freuen uns an hochsommerlichen Temperaturen, die das Gefühl einer Fernreise mächtig ankurbeln und lassen uns von den außergewöhnlich freundlichen Mitarbeitern beraten, überraschen und verwöhnen. Im Red Sea wird herzlich gelacht, die Leute machen eine gute Stimmung und man hat den Eindruck, das ist ehrlich gemeinte Gastfreundschaft! Das Essen ist ein Erlebnis. "Was der Bauer nicht kennt, isst er nicht"; wer mit einer solchen Einstellung käme, würde wohl am Tisch verhungern. Es gibt nicht viel Bekanntes. Genau das aber ist ja das Spannende. Kennen Sie Sambusas, Schinfinfin, Bebiaynetu, Kilwa (!) oder Zigni??? Wir kannten es bisher tatsächlich nicht, und...... das war ein Fehler!!!Für alle Angsthasen wird auch ein klassisches Alternativ-Programm geboten, italienisch. Das lohnt sich zwar auch, aber geht man deshalb zu einem Äthiopier? Wir persönlich würden nach unserer hiesigen ausgezeichneten Erfahrung empfehlen, der afrikanischen Küche eine Chance zu geben. Sie werden's nicht bereuen.Fazit: für die experimentierfreudigen Zeitgenossen unter uns gibt's genug Gründe, dem Red Sea in Bonn einen Besuch abzustatten. Hervorragende Küche, hervorragende Atmosphäre, hervorragende Freundlichkeit aller Mitarbeiter und ein hervorragendes Verhältnis von Preis und Leistung. Klare Empfehlung!"

"we were there on a Saturday at 17:00 without reservation because it was very warm, we went outside. the waiter was the scratch! present when we needed something, unobtrusive, courteous, competent in the consulting, laid up crisp when we were ready...Super! I asked him for special requests. since he has honestly admitted that this is already unpleasant in stress situations, but has been consulted on me and has submitted suggestions for my criticism! I like it very much if I am not flattered, but supported in the sense I am advised...The appetizer was awesome. if you would otherwise like to spend 10€ for sweet or oil drowned sattmacher, someone was here with an instant at the work. great to look, tastefully great and so quickly on the table that there was a great transition between front and main dish, I was totally thrilled. at the main dish, the great grilled piece of meat was more at work with me. the sauce, the supplemental salad, were so convincing that I would not have needed under the dash of the meat...This is an excellent Coctail/Spiritousen selection that leaves the driver not sad the choice between cola and virgian collada. all around!What to mention is: the outside area is facing road and railway station. that had an entertainment factor for me because the noise nuisance is not significant, but you have "what to look": who doesn't like it, but should sit inside."

"we were here in larger company and had agreed to a selection of start and main dishes. these were more prepared by the bank in a loveless manner. not really bad but also not appropriate to the crisp price level. even more annoying are the wine and water prices: 7,90 for a more favorable mass wine from a semi-industrial wine are bag cutting. service is rather lustless and rustic.Dear not again.. Rather scarce enough than satisfying!It is also that so little is made from the beautiful courtyard situation. more parking space with tables on garage and kitchen entrance. the bonner publikum seems to be little pampered and unshaked and still flows there."

"I was looking for a good restaurant to celebrate an anniversary, something out of common and certainly it was an excellent choice! Located outside Bonn but easy access from the motorway Good weather to eat outside in the garden, sheltered by ancient trees, with...Hortencia's in blossom, a quiet and pleasant setup. Friendly ladies serving, helping with the choice of wine. The menu very attractive and with several choices like, for instance Mediterranean sardines taken by my wife or Castilian's suckling pig. My choice was the scallops with avocado salad, very tender scallops combining perfectly with the fine vinaigrette of the salad. Both starters delicious! As main course We both had fish. My wife had it with gamba son a salad, mine came with rice and vegetables, both excellent! The Spanish house merlot very finely tuned and the alioli served with the bread irresistible! This restaurant has not only very good food but also a good ambience and relaxed staff, all together contributed to a pleasant evening. Not surprising that the staff and the chef inquired personally if everything was to our satisfaction and showed us their fresh products. With such a talented and motivated chef running El Dorado is a pleasure to recommend the restaurant as one of the best in the Bonn area. Congratulations to the family Gomes!"

"my wife came home yesterday from the work and suggested that we should eat, as we had not eat much in the house. we couldn't decide where to go, so when she proposed, we're trying the Italian we've come so many times and never tried. I had no better idea, so it was going. when we went to the door, she expressed her reservations, because we had no reservations; and from the outside it looked full. on a Wednesday night! when we see a place in the middle of the week so full, we always give ourselves confidence in the quality of the facility. to the happiness we were immediately led to an available table and provided with the menu. drink and appetit on the table, I ordered a tagliatelle with truthahn pieces and a creamy mushroom sauce, while my wife chose a pasta with pesto, sun-dried tomatoes and pistachios. both courts were very good. I usually choose pizza when we visit an Italian restaurant, but there is no pizza here, for which I am very happy afterwards. my tagliatelle was really delicious and there was a lot of it. the pasta of my wife, while she was equally enjoyable, seemed to have a certain spiciness that she had not expected from the description in the menu. yet she kept it through them and agreed with my judgment; we had found a true shade and only five minutes away from our own doorstep. if you enjoy a pleasant ambiente, friendly staff and exceptionally tasty eating, then you should definitely give this place a walk. I'm confident you're glad you did."
