"Food is good, service is very good. Only negative note is that when I book a table in advance I expect a decent table. I was given one close to the waiters desk, bit uncomfortable, you know the one you are given when you arrive unplanned and they make an effort to accomodate you. There were other tables available but I was said they were booked I booked too..... so overall not happy"

"We had a fabulous meal here in February. The 10-course menu included a few off-the-menu bites, so it was probably a 12-course tasting. Since we were there in winter, the theme was foods that had been preserved in some way, such as dried, cured or pickled items. With one exception (a freshwater fish with dill), we found the food to be exquisitely prepared and plated; the aforementioned fish was good but not up to the same standard as the other courses. We included the wine pairing and so had the opportunity to taste eight Hungarian wines in addition to the food. The sommelier was knowledgeable and engaging. Seating in the restaurant was very comfortable, clearly designed for a long, leisurely meal. Wait staff were attentive and informative."

"I went for the vegan seasonal toast option. As always it is nice to have a colourful and healthy plate. However, I do feel as though the plate contained a lot of salad to make it look like more than what it was. I wasnt the biggest fan of the cold veg mixed in with the salad like the sprouts and cauliflower. On the other hand, the actual seasonal toast was tasty with the tofu on top aswell. "the service we received from rebecca in the spoiler was exceptionally enormous. we had the fish and chips, served with really beautiful mushy inherited, but it was in the necessity of a wee acid sauce on the side. but overall, amazing."

"from the first contact this was a nice experience. the hotel is located in a quiet part of the Buda hill, approaching through a private garden that must be glorious in summer, we found ourselves in a piece of the early 20th century elegance. warm greeted even though we were an hour early and were relieved by our raincoats, we were shown to a beautiful wood-panelled dining room with a baby wing; more of them later. the menu includes “high end” includes classic Hungarian dishes. the ingredients are of the highest quality and the presentation excellent, enticing and classic generous instead of the modern fine restaurants set of small plates. that is a good food, because our great parents would have enjoyed it and we loved it. we had appetizers, goose salads, roulette and smoked breasts, all of which were delicious. in a quiet, unavoidable time, it was about benches and calves of the same classic elegance. we were recommended some delicious Hungarian weine, including cabernet franc, who would set up a control on the right bank in bordeaux. when it came to pudding, we were in the mood for the cheese to enjoy the red wine further. although not on the menu, the simple mention of it, the always helpful waiter came known that the cook would create something for us. we were thrilled to be served a common plate of feta, brie and a third local cheese with cut even, apple, walnuts and roasted brot. I mentioned the piano; not long after we started dinner, a gentleman arrived and positioned himself at the piano, and continued to cross his way through a selection of classic jazz and show tunes gently. he was a joy and we had a short chat in his break when he showed us photos of him on cruises in the late '50s/early '60s in the elegant aria of cruise. nothing better embodies the experience of this lovely restaurant. for all quality, service and ambiente was the last contract the bill, so good value."

"We loved Baltazar so much, we at there twice on our Christmas vacation. We even had the exact same meal and wines and we never do that. We loved the atmosphere and all the unique Hungarian dishes on the menu and the wine list was quite extensive. We made a reservation both times since it was the holiday season, I am not sure that is always necessary. We were seated immediately. We had the Baltazar salad both times and I would highly recommend trying it. We also ordered the cheese board and the burger was amazing. Would definitely recommend and eat here again. Hopefully soon."
