"we chose this place for our small intimate high-time reception with family friends. about 60 people . the service, eating, decor was exemplary. everything we demanded was done on a very high accuracy standard, including our menu choices, cocktails canapés, decorations. the venue, and the music and entertainment. no stone was released. each guest in the participation could not blame anything and commented on the high standards offered throughout the day. even regular customers who visited the day came to our celebrations and had nothing but praise. the employees and the management worked so hard to provide a magical fairytale day for us. competitive price, we would highly recommend the venue for each occasion."

"We have been using this indian takeaway since my parents moved here in 1993. The owner was always friendly and used to give me twilight mints as a child. We have been very loyal to this takeaway for 25 years... me and my boyfriend just ordered uber eats, my chicken Tika masala was horrid absolutely loaded with coconut it was more of a coconut curry. Very dark red too I thought it might be creamier. The onion bajji s were doughey in the middle so I left them, the keema rice weren't up to scratch either no idea what's happened the majority of our takeaway is now in the fridge so my parents maybe will eat it tomorrow. Its pretty sad, only ordered the time because the last few times my lamb passander has been chewy so I went for a chicken dish.to be honest I'm hoping next time our order will be OK because otherwise we are going to have to find a new place. regards Edwards"

"Popped in on the off chance to ask if the could serve 18 of us for my wife's birthday The staff were fantastic we sat in the garden at tables that were arranged for us Food came out all at the same time cooked fresh, how that was done was amazing The manager and staff looked after us proper nothing was too much trouble All the family loved it kids played in the lovely garden 5 stars aren't enough firmly recommend this pub Thanks again to the manager and staff"

"As someone visiting from Manchester, this was my first time dining at this restaurant. I was impressed by both the quality of the food and the service. The onion bhajis were the best I've ever had! Our group shared the main dishes and were all satisfied with our choices. The garlic naan was fluffy and paired perfectly with the meal. One member of our party was vegan and the staff were very accommodating to his dietary needs. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. I would recommend making the journey to visit this restaurant, even if you are not local."

"For my first visit it was ok. I went for lunch and quite a lot of the seating was taken up, but baring in mind it is small shop. We order 2 paninis, a coke and a coffee which they forgot one of the paninis and by the time my mum had got hers I was finished with my lunch. They need to turn the music down in the shop or not have music at all as it is hard to hear the people who you are with as you are having to compete with the music playing and other customers as you are all having to talk louder due to the music. I will try Oso again and hope it will be a more relaxed environment."

"So dissappointed! Looks amazing when you walk in and smells pretty good. Unfortunately the doner meat was the most pale bland meat I have ever tasted. Was also cold, I didnt have far to drive home with my food but it wasn't even warm when I arrived back. The chilli sauce didnt taste of chilli and the bread (not pitta bread) was rock hard. Also what is the salad all about? Watery, mainly red cabbage and no lettuce!!! Gross!! Wont be returning. So many more better kebab shops in Flitwick and the surrounding area. Use to love a kebab from Best Kebab when they were near the train station. Such a shame, they've tried to do things different, unfortunately for me it ended up with food in the bin and being 11 quid out of pocket."

"My initial impression almost had me turning around and going elsewhere, a very bare basic space with no ambience whatsoever. I asked the lady at the counter where the restaurant was and was surprised when she replied This is it . It was a chilly and overcast day with a few rain drops and I did not want to walk back to our car. I had a look at the menu which initially didn 't impress until I saw hand battered fish and chips , all three of us plumped for this. My two ladies shared a large bottle of an exotic coloured cider and I had a Peroni. The tables were very basic, plank like, I sat down and found the chairs very hard, typical basic kitchen chairs but no cushions. To our surprise our meals were served very quickly and were absolutely delicious, nothing was too much trouble, vinegar, tartare sauce, mayo all being brought to the table. As we were finishing our meal the manager Harry Hay came along and asked for our comments. I told him just about the same as I have written, he seemed genuinely interested and said he would take on board our comments. On our way out I noticed that there is plenty of outside seating and tables in a court yard with comfy cushions in a nearby building. There is a disabled toilet, very clean. On a nice warm summers day I am sure this could be an excellent place to visit, probably best for coffee and cake, however we couldn 't fault the fish and chips, nor the service."

"This was my first time trying Caprino’s pizza and it was really good! I collected and their location on the high street is lovely. The green leafy wall and neon sign is a nice touch. The staff were really nice and friendly. I ordered the vegan vegeroni pizza BBQ base, vegan pepperoni, peppers, sweetcorn and vegan cheese and some vegan nuggets. The pizza was really good, flavourful and not too heavy or greasy like some takeaways can be. Caprinos have a whole vegan/plant based range on their menu including a variety of pizzas, sides and even desserts which I really appreciate and definitely didn’t disappoint. I’ll definitely be going back again!"

"Visited with family for the 'special ' Christmas Afternoon tea. A lovely atmosphere and the food and cakes we received were very nice, but at £25 per head I feel it was overpriced for what it was. The attached photo is a selection for 2 people, which along with a tea cup of soup each and a tea or coffee, totaled £50. I have no issue with the quality of what was served, but at an £10 extra on top of the 'normal ' afternoon tea price of £14.95, I don 't feel what was served justified the additional increased cost."

"We went to the Sports Cafe on Friday morning after we had checked out of our lodge. The idea being we had packed all our luggage into the car. Would grab a quick breakfast and a coffee before heading off on the drive back to...London. We got to the Sports Cafe at approximately and ordered our breakfasts and hot drinks. After minute wait I went inside to see what the delay was only to see staff running around completely overrun and orders very delayed. It seems that lots of people had the same idea as us to go to the Sports Cafe before heading off. Surely the management could have foreseen this and planned appropriately with staffing? In the end we didn't get our food until hour after we ordered. This was despite receiving an estimated time when we ordered of minutes. The worst thing was when the food finally came there were errors e.g. one member of the family said no sausage with the breakfast but had sausage, two family members requested brown bread not white bread for toast and got white bread. On top of this the hot drinks arrived about ten minutes later than the food. Surely making a coffee should not take minutes. Complete shambles and very disorganised. Even when the waiting staff brought items late there was no apology or offer to recompense for the delay by offering another item or just acknowledging that service had been poor. We did visit the Sports Cafe the day before and had a lunch and to be fair the food had been ok and wait time not as bad but after the experience on Friday I have to leave a poor review in hope that the management will seriously look at this and ensure that they plan efficiently for days when people are checking out and likely to drop by for a quick last hot drink/snack before hitting the motorway. Bad experience."

"I decided to try out this pub again after soo long. Firstly I was very impressed with the organisation and the staffs behaviour. When asked for drink, I was served promptly and well directed. Great seating plan, however, ordered some food, there did seem to be a flow of who’s serving what. When coming to order, the bar men seemed very jolly and seemed to be full of interest. Very organised. Two women on food duty seemed very efficient and in task. Bit shocked at the generous food portion. (Only cheese and tomatoe sandwiches) One quick note: when I got asked about taking the leftovers, I did find that very helpful. Only thing that I will warn the staff here about is: Although we are still in Covid-19, the only thing that did bother me was that when the staff member took my sandwiches she did handling with her finger tips!!!! Very risky... this should be taken as a hygiene concern, specially with what’s about right now.. I did feel a little bit uncomfortable during this situation(plate should had been taken first) Good effort Stone jug..."

"My family and I stayed at this accommodation for two nights surrounding my son's wedding. The room was located next to the car park with a beer garden across the way, resulting in a noisy environment that made it difficult for me to get a peaceful night's sleep on the Friday. There was constant traffic and a loud party in the beer garden. The noise finally subsided around midnight. On Saturday, we were out partying elsewhere and returned to a quiet atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable, although I found the room to be too hot with only a small window for ventilation. The breakfast provided was disappointing, as it only included a small carton of milk, cornflakes, and a cereal bar. Not what we were expecting based on the website claiming to offer Bed and Breakfast services."

"Everything about tonight was a disaster. Booked a table and made to wait in the cold. Waited so long we had to get our own menus. Waited so long again we had to ask for our drinks. One main came with the starters. Then just before we got our mains they ask if we want chips or couscous as they had no rice!! My daughter’s kids meal was smothered in a vinegar of some sort and she could not eat it and our chicken was lukewarm. Service especially the male waiter was rude because we complained about the food. So many unhappy customers tonight that will not be seeing again. No discount offered only an apology. Then offered £3 off the bill then £10 off a bill of almost £115. They can stick it and have lost a regular customer for the takeaway and restaurant. Shame on them."

"I ordered takeout from this restaurant and the food did not meet my expectations. The chicken balls were undercooked and the chicken satay lacked any peanut flavor. When I called to complain, the person on the other end was not helpful at all and essentially told me not to order from there if I wasn't happy. I have had good experiences in the past, but this time was disappointing. I will not be ordering takeout from there again and I cannot recommend it to others due to the poor customer service."

"We had seen some very negative reviews about this pub but we liked the menu so decided to give it a go as it was local to us. We were very agreeably surprised as our experience was totally different to what we had read. We were greeted by the friendly landlady and given a pleasant table overlooking the village green. My husband ordered the steak and ale pie which was served with cauliflower cheese stem broccoli carrots and mash which was all delicious. I opted for the chicken salad with garlic bread which was good with huge chunks of chicken. Greedily we order dessert..treacle syrup sponge and the roulade with ice cream..yummy. Not a huge choice but enough to want to return.Especially as service was good and the staff charming. We were very pleased that despite negativity beforehand. It is a cosy little pub which deserves local support in these hard time."

"Have been going to this restaurant for a number of years and just love it. Always a warm and friendly welcome and excellent service. The atmosphere is very cosy and a roaring log fire greets you on colder days. The food is delicious and freshly prepared. There is always a good specials board in addition to the regular menu. Fish dishes are very tasty as are the pasta and meat choices. There is a very good wine list. Coffee is a speciality and not to be missed expertly prepared. This is a delightful venue whether for a meal for two, evening with friends and family or a larger celebration. Highly recommend a visit sorry I no longer live as close so can't eat there as regularly."
