"this resteraunt is quite chilled out, has usually got quite a calm atmosphere, if you have to wait for a table there is comfortable sofas to wait on. you dont have to wait long for a table and the waiters are very attentive they leave you to decide and come back to ask for a drink first, there is quite a large range of alcoholic drinks for a pizza place, there is also a large range of soft drinks too. i would definetly recommend their dough balls! if you are sharing pizzas and starters then it is more than likely that it wont cost too much and that you'll also have money for a lovely dessert, even though you would probably be too full for it. if you do not want pizza there is also a choice of other pasta dishes. i think that there is also the option to take away. think this may be better for a group of friends or family rather than a date but overall lovely food at a decent price."

"Zari is certainly one of the best Indian restaurants within 20 miles of East Grinstead. I've been there a couple of times a year for, probably, 4 years and it is always good and always busy. Don't be put off by the location in a rather mediocre 70s concrete block alongside equally mediocre fast food and grocery shops. Inside it's much better. Suits a group more than a tete a tete for two as it tends to be quite noisy. The atmosphere is enhanced by being able to see into the large and modern kitchen, which is only separated from customers by plate glass. The staff are friendly and attentive, even if some of them are a little hesitant in English. The menu is just about right. All the standard Indian dishes plus a good selection of Zari specials. Apart from samosas, everything I've had has been very good. Unfortunately the samosa are triangular pyramids with quite thick pastry as they are commonly made in Singapore (and parts of India). It's only a matter of taste, but personally I don't think you can beat the flat triangular samosas made with thin and flaky pastry. Conversely I've not had better nans or poppadoms."

"My fiancé I ordered a takeaway from here; I have had an upset tummy for two days. My fiancé was backwards forwards to the toilet over 10 times the following day plus she was violently sick. I have a hot curry (madras, vindaloo, Naga) most weeks from the Tarana in Turners Hill so am not fragile to spicy food and have never felt as rough stomach-wise from a curry in the past as I have from this place."

"Were not greeted when we entered, even though someone was behind bar. He didn’t even look at us We Asked about food were told to take any 2 seat table. Not offered menus so got them ourselves, then waitress came over gave us correct menus. Ordered food wine, waitress was very polite friendly. Food came but Steak was very chewy No atmosphere, saw no one else eating, another 2 couples drinking. We were offered sweet menu, were going to ordered but were told at 9pm coffee machine was off so no coffee available. I say told but really we were grunted at! so didn’t have sweet as we wanted it with coffee, not much to expect after eating a meal! Overall very disappointing anniversary dinner. The place was very quiet. Maybe train your staff to be a bit more friendly after all it is the service industry you work in people just expect when spending hard earned cash, a pleasant evening out with a nice meal a friendly welcome. Unfortunately we got none of the above! So Will not return! You would have thought in today’s financial situation these places would be crying out for local support but when you get treated like they can’t be bothered to serve you then they don’t deserve our custom."

"Prezzo (price) is a good name for this place. Sorry to say but nothing to do with Italian cuisine but prices from different planet. Crab and lobster ravioli unfrozen and bland. Gnocchi with grilled? sea bass and peas?? I got confused if this is English pub or Italian restaurant. No herbs, no taste, so specific for Italian cuisine, was really hungry and haven't finished this. Gnocchi drowned in fat, colour grey. Gross, lack of colours (tomato, peppers, carrots etc. missing), prices shocking high, quality of food shocking low, portions small comparing to other Italian restaurants. I've asked if there's Italian chief and got an answer that is racist to have Italian chief in Italian restaurant????? Absolutely ridiculous. Nice service, disgusting food, never again. For 2 juices (150ml each), one espresso, antipasti (3 small slices of garlic bread no garlic taste or smell, 2 slices of second hand ham and something pretending prosciutto £8.95, to be honest dried tomatoes delicious, olives acceptable), portion of gnocchi with sea bass and peas?? over £19, maybe 10 unfrozen ravioli with no taste over £17, bill over £50 paid and I went to McDonald's to eat something. Avoid and find something with Italian chief to taste Italian cuisine."

"We have been visiting the Swan regularly for about 7 years (probally paid them a packet too). The food selection is good and the staff where possible will help to vary the menu if at all possible (exchange chips for mash). We like it because the pub area is very seperate from the resturant. On the whole the food is good as is the service. We vist about 2 x per month."

"I cannot speak highly enough of the team at this restaurant. The customer service was outstanding. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and efficient from the moment we walked in. When one of our glasses broke on the table, it was handled with incredible care and thoughtfulness. As my partner so aptly put it, it was like being served in America. We are grateful to the entire team for their exceptional service."

"Went as a group of 4 for an evening meal which ended up being 3 courses each. Wasn't too busy inside and we had reserved a table anyway although despite saying our name and that we were a 4 (2 yet to arrive), staff repeatedly mentioned someone else's name and that they were a 2??? Got it sorted eventually. Prezzo accepts the Taste card, if you have one, and there were no issues caused by us using this. No outside seating available which was appropriate as it was freezing cold. Looks like they do have this option when the weather is better. Place looked quite clean and well maintained. Service was pretty good most of the time. We had a lot of attention at the beginning and then towards the end but it was in the middle when our food had arrived that glasses went empty and unnoticed. Prices are perfectly reasonable and the portion sizes were as expected. Food was tasty and hot. The vegetarian in our group was initially brought a meat pizza because of staff error and so had to wait for a fresh one to be cooked while everyone else ate. I ordered a Pepsi at one point and instead of getting that, another one of the group was brought a Pepsi Max which she didn't order. Not the end of the world as I just drank that instead, but could be a bigger issue for some. Also they had run out of some desserts that we wanted. So that was a shame. No parking available to due to location on the high street but plenty of paid and sometimes free parking around. Would go again without too much hesitation."

"This pub is absolutely stunning. They have 10 authentic ales on tap and also offer food. The outdoor seating is beautiful and inviting. They have specials on Tuesdays and serve breakfast from 10-11:30. The pub supposedly home to two ghosts, adding to its charm. The staff is kind and welcoming."

"12 of us went for a work Christmas dinner. Booked by someone else. I was the first person to arrive and was invited to either wait at the table or the bar I decided to get a drink drink first and before I’d finished ordering my drink everyone else started to arrive were told that we had the table for 2 hours. We all went to the table and had sent our food order 2 days before as requested, which they had lost so we then had to order individually from the menu and wait longer for the order to be cooked. The food on the whole was delicious, if I were to be picky the prawns were overcooked but they were still tasty, and everyone else enjoyed theirs. The waitress barely smiled the whole 2 hours we had the table and proceeded to come over with a card reader to ask for payment whilst we were all still eating stating we had 10 minutes! If they hadn’t of lost our order and the service was a little quicker we would’ve finished our food before the allotted time. If this had been the end of the visit the rating would have been lower, but 2 members of bar staff bumped it up. They couldn’t have been better, happy, helpful and highly efficient. We had moved to the bar area and they kept me topped up with iced water all night (designated driver) often coming over and just topping me up. I appreciate Christmas in the hospitality trade is manic at Xmas but rude staff are not acceptable when we spent a lot of money which we all worked hard to earn. It’s also not made clear that there is such a short time limit on the table."

"pleasantly surprised how amazing the food was! it was our first trip to the clubhouse yesterday after reading the great reviews, and I must say we had the best burgers in the city! the host is very humble and so a nice guy, we didn't know that we had to inform him in advance for iftar orders, so we only showed up 20 minutes before iftar, but he took our orders graciously and made delicious food for us and it was banging on time. this place will now be a regular favorite of us."

"We went to Xenia for my brothers birthday last Friday night had the all you can eat Rodizio. I have been to many other Rodizio restaurants before I have to say the put out buffet is one of the best iv been to. The meat started coming round there was some nice meat but a lot of the same came out at the start, after not that long the bringing of the meat REALLY slowed down then they started not bringing it to our table at all, I saw them bringing meat to other tables but not to ours. We still had our cards turned up to say we wanted more. Then without our cards being turned someone came over started trying to clear out plates! When we said no we weren’t finished he aplogized we got a few other things brought to us but still at a very slow pace, by this time we had been there ages so we kind of gave up. Iv never left a Rodizio restaurant still feeling a bit hungry I’m not a massive eater either, so although the food was nice I wouldn’t rush to go back"

"The Crown is a fantastic traditional pub restaurant. We visited for dinner and had a variety of dishes including the roast beef, fish chips and Bangers Mash. The food was absolutely delicious and of great quality and quantity. Compliments to the chef and waiting staff. The service was also very good and the restaurant area had a wonderful atmosphere along with the charm of such a beautiful old building. Highly recommend visiting Turners Hill to have a drink and/or food here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Remember you will be here for a flight it the food. The purpose of this place is to provide a reasonable fill for a large number of travellers and the odd visitor, who will have no expectation of any form of culinary excellence. What it does it manages reasonably well but there are plenty of areas of concern. You will probably be spending the night at the hotel and won’t be looking for any other overpriced offering elsewhere. When you book you will be offered a ‘meal deal’ great for those with late check ins but the fact is most people are checked in by 7am when service starts. The offer is useless to this large group. For those just wanting an evening meal one has to phone to book not easy in this automated utopia, and put up with the prices which, thought low for the South East, are steep for those from Up North: our bill for 2 courses and 2 rounds of drinks was almost £80 with not only solicitation for a tip but also a charity to whom I do not want to give money. Ugh!I have a particular loathing for Companies that expect me to donate my hard earned cash to their pet charity, especially when, for personal reasons, it is one I would never donate to. The menu is riddled with management speak ‘our take on’i is everywhere as are unnecessary hyperboles that I find off putting. Just write the menu in simple English without the horrid exaggerations. Starters are very limited. For my wife soup was her only choice. My bog standard prawn cocktail was £7 . Portions OK but don’t even dream of asking for anything that is not strictly within the menu. Steaks followed hard to get that wrong but needless to say the chips were frozen and clearly a budget brand. Cooked to our taste. Neither my wife nor I could find any temptation in the dessert menu so we passed. Service appeared manic externally but when it came to our own table was slow albeit friendly. Trying to order a round of drinks was far from easy. Just remember you are being fed as part of a crowd. You are here either for or after a flight in all probability. If you remember this I am nit aware of anywhere preferable in the Gatwick complex but that is not saying much."

"Went there last night terrible terrible service food was cold some food wasn’t present and by the time it was our cold meal had been finished Customer Service is **** the waitise we had was amazing however the bar woman who we tried to pay...for a meal was useless not just with myself out with other customers before and after so she really should not be doing what she was doing and repeatedly rang the phone following a query for two hours and it was never answered or recalled back obviously they have recently been modernised which is lovely however that’s to utilise space and add more tables so it’s far more crowded obviously but maybe they should’ve offered some of this expenditure into training their staff with manners job role and not stupidity I just saw so I like to say back in the day Toby Carvery was one of the best places to go I didn’t never ever felt you sadly that’s not how it is today"

"Let me start off with, I hope I’m reviewing the right Giraffe restaurant; as we’ve just eaten in the Gatwick Airport South Terminal establishment. So… Wow! I think I might’ve just had the best meal at a non-independent restaurant I’ve had in the longest time. It’s not often I am waxing lyrically about a meal that’s been hugely enjoyed by not only myself, but my children as well. The service was very friendly, very efficient and all without the feeling I’m being rushed throughout the process of dining. At first, I was concerned that the food we were going to eat was going to be of a ‘motorway services’ standard; but was overjoyed how wrong I was! My daughter enjoyed the Katsu Curry bowl, my son had the Rodeo chicken burger I had, probably, the best loaded nachos with shredded beef I’ve EVER had in the UK (see attached pictures) If you’re looking for something delicious enjoyable to eat and a relaxed atmosphere; do yourself a favour and pay a little more than you would at the nearby Wetherspoon. I promise you’ll not regret it!"

"The food is exceptionally good, everything was served piping hot. The favours were excellent and level of spice as per the menu. The chicken pieces were succulent and tender unlike some other local restaurants where quality of meat seems to be of secondary importance to price. The staff were attentive and friendly. It was a very good evening."

"I moved to the area about a year ago and have supported this place a couple of times a month. I have always found the food to be great… until today… I ordered 1 feta kebab, 2 x Halloumi kebabs and a lamb Shis kebab. When they arrived the portions were tiny, half the size of their usual portions. My kids finished their meals in 2 min and have had to make more food , as they said it was a ‘starter’ portion. The total meal cost £45 excluding delivery, which is £10+ per meal. I’m not expecting huge portions, just fair value for the money spent. I called the store to complain and explained my disappointment to the worker. She then asked me to hold and relayed the message to the owner. He didn’t bother coming to the phone to apologise or offer an explanation. His answer was ‘sorry, but that’s just the portion size now’...? Three slices of Halloumi and some chopped lettuce…it didn’t touch sides. Save your money and spend it with someone who cares about the standard and value of the food they sell. This place will never see a penny from me again."
